Review
Library Media Connection : "This series belongs in every elementary and middle school because it fills a niche for this topic at this age group. Numerous color illustrations, larger-than-usual font size, and plenty of white space help younger readers not be intimidated by the content...Any teacher who includes ancient cultures in his class work will welcome these historically accurate and attractive volumes as adjuncts to classroom instruction. They can also be used with younger gifted students who might select these volumes simply because they are so visually attractive, but once they begin to read the content will lead some into a new old world. I found the series useful for at-risk high school students. The series summarizes basic information on a reading level below regular high school, and in such an interesting manner that students did not object to reading them. Highly recommended."
