In 1620 the pilgrims sailed for 66 days aboard the Mayflower to find religious freedom and make a better life in America. Their first winter in America was very bad. Hard work and their Native American neighbors got them through and finally everyone celebrated with a huge feast, known as the first Thanksgiving.
