    Book Description

Selecting Business Partners for Success contains fourteen chapters on how you can qualify a potential business partner for compatibility with your style and the way you like to conduct business. Such topics as personality profiles, financial/lifestyle profiles, business philosphy/ethics, management styles, talent contribution/titles, work ethic, personal vs. corporate goals, conflict resolution, relatives as partners, and buy an sell agreements, can all contribute to either success or failure in a business partnership. If an entrepreneur is thinking of having one or more partners in a business endeavor, they will save themselves untold grief, and undoubedly monies, by following the qualifying process contained in this book. Even if you THINK you know your potential partner(s) well, you owe it to both yourself and the potential partner(s) to ask some hard questions. The author has received countless testimonials from people who, thankfully, did not enter into a partnership after reading this book. Those who did, did so with their eyes wide open and with a basic understanding of many important issues that were sure to arise in the course of doing business in a partnership. Protect yourself! The dissolution of a business partnership can be every bit as painful and costly as a divorce.

From the supplier: The process of auditing the tax return of a partnership is difficult because individual partners, not the partnership, pay income taxes. Partnerships must select a competent tax matters partner (TMP) to represent the partnership during an audit. A TMP must be a US citizen or resident and must have been a general partner during the tax year. A TMP may begin an investigation of tax liability by filing the Administrative Adjustment Request.
