    The first cassette urges you to close your eyes and a soothing voice guides you through a fictional setting until you are completely relaxed.

    The second cassette says that low breathing can bring relief from stress-Let all air go to your abdomen-abdominal breathing.
    Later, you are told 53 affirmations and told that you should just say your favoites. Here are a few:
    -I am calm and relaxed.
    -I feel safe and secure.
    -I breathe as a calm, stress-free person.
    -I release unwanted stress.
    -I breathe deeply and easily.
    -I am at peace with myself.
    -I am at peace with others.
    -I am at peace with the universe
    -This is the way I chose to be.
    -I deserve inner peace.
    -I am comfortable in all situations.
    -I see things in their proper perspective
    -Everyday I manage stress more easily.
    There are just a few of the affirmations. I found them very refreshing.

    I have an ongoing battle with an "Anaplastic Oligo Astrocytoma" primary malignant brain tumor, that will probably end my life much too early. I am a 42 year old mother of two. I have lived a lifetime of chronic depression, even before the diagnosis. It is safe to say that I have rarely come across anything that makes me feel at peace. I first bought this CD at Barnes & Noble last year,because I was looking for spoken word that was for deep relaxation with positive subliminal messages while I slept, which is what the CD claims. I listened to it every single night when I layed down to go to sleep. I noticed that I never made it to the end of the CD before falling into a deep, serene sleep. Bob Griswold's voice is mezmerizing and calming. He speaks softly with such kindness and sincerity that you will totally let yourself do the breathing and imagery excercizes. Usually at the point where I am just entering the milky way of sleep, I begin to hear Bob quietly telling me to repeat in my mind positive statements about myself and my life and my being, and to let go of anger, shame, guilt, etc.. It was so powerful that I actually found myself speaking aloud while driving in the car by myself, repeating his assuring, affirming words. I did this without realizing it. It's true. I decided to listen to the CD while wide awake one day while cleaning the kitchen, just to calm any fears of what was on the disc that I did not consciously remember. It is beautiful and safe from beginning to end. Unfortunately, I was devasted when I looked for the disc one day only to find I had misplaced it. (My memory is shot because of the craniotomy and I often lose things.) I recently bought the CD again and they are asking for a review. I CANNOT SPEAK HIGHLY ENOUGH OF THIS CD. BY CHOICE, MY 15 YEAR OLD SON LISTENED TO IT FOR SEVERAL WEEKS AND SAID THAT HE WAKES UP MUCH CALMER THAN HE USED TO AND READY FOR THE CHALLENGES HE FACES AT SCHOOL.DON'T WAIT ANOTHER MINUTE IF YOU ARE YEARNING TO FEEL MOMENTS OF PEACE IN YOUR LIFE. IT IS THE BEST RELAXATION CD EVER ON THE MARKET ! THANK YOU, MR.GRISWOLD.
