The AHA-2910C PCI-to-Fast SCSI host adapter is ideal for connecting CD-Recordable and removable SCSI drives to your Pentium PC. The AHA-2910C host adapter provides unbeatable value, compatibility and performance. It provides Fast SCSI connection to the widest variety of high-performance, non-booting peripherals. It takes full advantage of the high-speed PCI bus, allowing for true multi-tasking performance. If you want to attach SCSI peripherals like scanners or CD-R's to your EIDE systems, the AHA-2910C provides a high-speed Fast SCSI connection without a BIOS and is the ideal performance upgrade solution for systems with EIDE hard disk drives. It is designed specifically for non-booting peripherals and uses a bus mastering protocol to achieve extremely low CPU utilization. The AHA-2910C is perfect for meeting current and future multimedia performance standards. In addition, its design feature allows the adapter to offload work from the CPU during data transfers, freeing up system processing power to be used in other areas. Also, the onboard, RISC-based PhaseEngine processor speeds the processing of SCSI commands by automating SCSI phase engines. The AHA-2910C features fast 10MB/second data transfers and easy Plug and Play installation under Windows 95. It uses EZ-SCSI software to install in DOS and Window environments. Adaptec includes powerful SCSISelect optimization utility software, which reports the status of the host adapter, BIOS, firmware and all attached SCSI devices. The AHA-2910C is the easiest way to add very fast SCSI peripherals that make Pentium-based PCs more useful and versatile.
