SIIG's i540 SpeedMaster Fast SCSI-2 drive controller delivers enhanced I/O performance and improved system performance. This controller is ideal for users who want to change or add SCSI drives to their system. It features Bus Mastering DMA technology to relieve the CPU of processing tasks and supports up to seven SCSI devices. The i540 delivers 10MB/second transfer rate and features built-in active termination for error-free data transfer. It features full multitasking and multithreading support for running two or more programs at the same time and scatter and gather features for increased ISA system performance. The BIOS boot up function allows your system to boot from the SCSI hard drive. The i540 is Plug and Play compatible and the user-friendly software includes step-by-step instructions for non Plug and Play.
