Compaq introduces the Compaq 64-bit/66-MHz Dual Channel Wide Ultra3 SCSI Adapter which allows Compaq customers to store data at the fastest SCSI speeds available. Compaq's 64-bit/66-MHz Dual Channel Wide Ultra3 SCSI Adapter provides customers with the flexibility and speed they have come to expect from Compaq. The 64-bit/66-MHz Dual Channel Wide Ultra3 SCSI Adapter is ideal for Compaq tape arrays and larger non-RAID storage applications. This new adapter supports Wide Ultra3 SCSI, Wide Ultra2 SCSI, Wide-Ultra SCSI-3, Fast-Wide SCSI-2, and Fast SCSI-2 protocols. It is the primary building block for non-RAID SCSI storage solutions that provide the maximum of 160 MB/second bandwidth, twice the speed of Compaq's current SCSI adapters. Compaq's new 64-bit/66-MHz Dual Channel Wide Ultra3 SCSI Adapter has two primary uses: high-end tape backup and large JBOD file and print applications. Neither application requires fault tolerance but both have large bandwidth requirements. Compaq's 64-bit/66-MHz Dual Channel Wide Ultra3 SCSI Adapter has been thoroughly tested and integrated into the full line of Compaq ProLiant servers.
