Take a closer look at the BlackBerry 7105t handset's functions.

Design
Design-wise, the BlackBerry 7105t is a departure from the form factor of previous BlackBerry devices. This BlackBerry handset is far more phone-like, and RIM's engineers have managed to fit a QWERTY keyboard onto the handset's slim frame. Each button on the keyboard shares two letters and the unit automatically determines which letter is the intended one based on what it predicts you are trying to spell. This unique predictive text technology, known as SureType, makes the BlackBerry 7105t handset's diminutive size possible. SureType also learns the words you use most often, further enhancing your typing speed.
The BlackBerry 7105t sports a large 240 x 260 screen that supports over 65,000 colors-- plenty of real estate to view your e-mails, Web browser content, messaging sessions, and attachments. The venerable BlackBerry trackwheel is located on the right side of the unit for quick scrolling through menus and e-mails. A speakerphone is housed in the top portion of the rear of the handset, just above the removable battery door. There's also a standard 2.5mm headset jack that can be used with the included headset.
Calling Features
All the calling capabilities folks have come to expect in a wireless phone are present in the BlackBerry 7105t. The handset's speakerphone makes it easy to use the device hands-free, or if you prefer, you can use a wireless headset via the BlackBerry 7105t handheld's built-in Bluetooth capability. A vibrating alert, speed dial, and a contacts list/address book (limited only by the unit's 32 MB of internal memory) are also included. Any of the phone's 32 included polyphonic ringtones can be used to create caller-specific ringers, so you can know who's calling without having to look at the handset. More ringtones are available from T-Mobile's t-zones mobile Web service.
Messaging, Internet, and Tools
While the BlackBerry 7105t is a different kind of BlackBerry device, it still delivers the legendary BlackBerry e-mail experience. With BlackBerry service plans from T-Mobile, you can receive e-mails instantaneously from up to 10 e-mail accounts (personal and enterprise). With BlackBerry push technology, you don't need to retrieve your e-mail. BlackBerry devices are designed to remain on and continuously connected to the wireless network, allowing you to be discreetly notified as new e-mail arrives. Support is also built-in for viewing e-mail attachments (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPerfect, and PDF formats).
If your company has a BlackBerry Enterprise Server installed, you can take advantage of the power of wireless calendar synchronization. Your calendar events are exchanged wirelessly and automatically so that your desktop calendar and BlackBerry handheld calendar are synchronized. All your Outlook meeting requests, changes, and updates are instantaneously synchronized instantaneously with your desktop. Make meeting requests, invite new attendees, and more, all on your BlackBerry 7105t. Users without BlackBerry Enterprise Server support can manually sync with their desktop calendars and contacts via Bluetooth or USB using the included BlackBerry Desktop Software.
Use the BlackBerry 7105t handset's Web browser to access the Internet from the palm of your hand. Browse Web sites, get up-to-date stock quotes, read the latest news, check weather reports, and more. Instant messaging and wireless messaging are also built into the BlackBerry 7105t. The handset supports AOL, Yahoo, and ICQ instant messaging, as well as SMS text messaging. MMS messages can be received and forwarded.
The BlackBerry 7105t ships with a number of tools, including a calculator with a unit converter and a to-do list. The unit supports Java application and game downloads (available via the t-zones service). One game, BrickBreaker, is included.
Vital Statistics
The BlackBerry 7105t weighs 4.30 ounces and measures 4.70 by 2.30 by 0.70 inches. Its lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 4.5 hours of digital talk time and up to 240 hours of digital standby time. It runs on the 800/900/1800/1900 GSM/GPRS frequencies. The phone comes with a one-year limited warranty.
What's in the Box
BlackBerry 7105t handset, international travel charger, two USB cables, battery, holster, hands-free headset, SIM card, BlackBerry Desktop Software.

Please heed this advice and avoid.......2007-04-30
I have had this phone for almost a year and it has been great until quite recently. It started when I had to struggle to hear someones voice on the other side of the line because there voice was so low. Then it started DELETING all text messages and call logs (right after the call came in). Then it just started overloading, during normal operations you know like coming out of key lock, and selecting an item, RIDICULOUS. How can it get this overloaded, it was so overloaded that I couldnt even answer a call because it couldnt process it. This is the worst phone I've ever had, and I dont want to even deal with getting it fixed or getting a new one. Im just gonna get a new one and definetely not another blackberry for quite some time.
Horrible.......2007-04-11
It's too bad that I couldn't give this a zero. I bought my BlackBerry 7105t one year and nine days ago. My warrenty was for one year and it broke yesterday. Would they try to help me? Nope. After trying to fix the phone (it didn't fall and break, it broke down in the middle of me writing an email) for over an hour with a tech, I was finally told that I was welcome to purchase a new phone. Well wasn't that nice of them, to let me buy another phone after the $400 phone I bought one year and nine days earlier broke.
This wasn't the only issue I had with this phone either. As soon as I started using it I kept hearing my friends on the other line telling me that I was always breaking up. I eventually called customer care and they told me that the microphone on this model was sensitive and anyone with a deep voice was hard to hear unless the volume was turned down. So I turn down the volume on my phone so people could hear me. Well then I couldn't hear anyone talking to me. Luckily I was able to reach another genius in their customer care department who told me to change the volume when I wanted to talk and when I wanted to listen. I guess I should have bought the $4000 that wouldn't make me have to do that.
Long story short....if I can stop one person from buying this phone them my work here is done.
This phone isn't very smart........2007-03-28
I have suffered through the Blackberry 7105t since March 2006. This phone has a very limited memory and a tragic response to overload--it deletes all text message history and call logs!
Thinking this may be a problem with my specific device prompted me to use the warrenty to replace it with another 7105t. The replacement phone has the same problem.
Every person I've met with this phone has expressed the exact same difficulty with this phone.
Do yourself a favor and try something else.
Not compatible with your windshield.......2007-03-11
When I first started looking at this phone over a year ago I was nervous because I thought it would break easily with the big screen and small form. After reading many reviews I was satisfied it would be ok.
You can only imagine my anger when it slid of my couch and bounced harmlessly on a wood floor or so I thought. Picking it up I noticed a crack running the length of the screen (top to bottom). I was stunned - how flimsy is that!! Fortunately it was only in the outer plastic cover and the LCD display itself was fine. I've been using it like this for a good year now and have not had any issues with the crack.
Since then I've dropped the phone about fifty times (now you know why I was worried about it's construction in the first place - I'm hard on my electronics) and other than some minor scuff marks it's fine.
The other day I was having a really really bad day and after hanging up in anger I proceeded to throw my phone at my dashboard. It promptly bounced off and hit my windshield and fell to the ground.
I picked it up, by now a little calmer and quite worried I had destroyed my phone. To my relief their was absolutely no damage to my phone. My windshield however had a 6 inch star shaped crack in it!!
Seems ever since that first disappointment with it's durability my phone has turned into a brick. I'll keep that in mind when I lock myself out of my car again rather than wait for 2 hours in below zero temps for the AAA guys to show up.
Everything else is awesome. The email works really well as does all the other messaging (SMS, IM, etc.)
Bluetooth is also really nice feature and the desktop sync software gives you piece of mind. Setting up the phone was a breeze as I just imported my outlook address book and voila no need to spend hours typing in your contacts. It also gives you a backup, which with the way I treat the phone I might need at any second. Now at least I know my data will be safe
My big complaint is the whole suretype thing. It has some big issues with some common words. For example, "yet" and "try" use the same two keys so it never knows which one you want. Other combos are "see" and "are", or "for" "foe" "doe" or "got" "hot" or "five" "dive" "dice"
You can see why this can get annoying. Also sometimes it comes up with really weird choices giving you gibberish instead of a word. It's also unforgiving about your spelling - for example if you type wory (instead of worry) it'll guess "wort" Makes guessing what someone wanted to say a little harder
Granted it always gives you a choice, but when I'm typing I have to look at the keys not the screen. Plus even if you do look at the screen the progression can be something like this when typing "dinner" (i'll include the choices to give you an idea)by the time you've typed "dinne" your choices in order are: Dunne|dinne|funne|finne|dubbe|funbe|dinbe|finbe|funbr|dinbr
As you can see the primary choice is not what you want to see, so looking at the screen will do you little good other than knowing your choice is still being considered - if "dinne" wasn't on the list you'd know you probably had a typo somewhere.
These days I'm hoping T-Mobile will start carrying the 8800 blackberry, otherwise I may have to switch to cingular after all....
It's a great phone - after one year useage.......2007-02-28
I had a hard time in learning how to use the new toy in the beginning. After one year usage, I really think it's a great phone. I had over 1000+ customers contact in my outlook address book and it could be synchronized easily. According to Blackberry's operator, they told me there is no limit numbers. The one I used before I had to control my customers list within 1000.
