Product Description
IBM has beefed up its renowned ThinkPad notebook series with the latest processor speeds and beautiful large-screen technology. The ThinkPad 380Z has an all-in-one integrated design and is well suited for general-purpose use. This ThinkPad contains a fast mobile Pentium II processor. The mobile Pentium II is the leading notebook processor for a good reason: maximum performance. The CPU runs business programs quickly and handles multimedia applications smoothly and easily. An eye-pleasing 13.3 inch active matrix color screen makes it enjoyable to view your work, and a screen this size also makes the notebook suitable for multimedia presentations. The graphics controller can produce images at a 1024x768 resolution. The ThinkPad also supports a resolution of 1280x1024 on external monitors. The large hard drive features SMART (Self Monitoring, Assessment & Reporting Technology) functions, and gives you sufficient storage capacity for all your applications and files. The notebook's CD-ROM drive is integrated and can be used simultaneously with the internal floppy drive, rather than having the two drives share a modular bay. The audio system produces Sound Blaster Pro compatible 32-bit sound, and stereo speakers, a volume control dial and a mic are built-in. The notebook even performs software MPEG-1 decoding for full-motion video playback. If you want, you can use the ThinkPad 380Z to replace your office desktop computer, using its optional port replicator to connect to your printer and other peripherals. Windows 98 comes installed on this model readying it for the latest technology such as USB peripherals. For good, plain processing power and beautiful graphics without having to keep up with lots of modular drives, think about the ThinkPad 380Z.

Amazon.com Product Description

With a brilliant color screen, voice dialing functions, support for polyphonic ringtones, a speakerphone, and more, the svelte Samsung SPH-A560 makes a great entry-level phone for those who want a simple mobile companion that combines style and value. It's also the perfect way to take advantage of Sprint's basic wireless services.

Design
The A560 follows the tried and true clamshell form factor, while featuring an internal antenna that makes it easy slide in and out of your pocket or purse. The large 128 x 160 color screen features support for 65,000 colors, while the phone's center selection button allows you to control the phone's menus and features. A 2.5 mm headphone jack provides compatibility with most handsfree headsets. Meanwhile, on the outside of the front cover, you'll find a large speaker for the phone's speakerphone functions.

Calling Features
The A560's built-in address book allows you to assign up to 300 entries, and it offers quick access to phone numbers, as well as email and Web addresses. As mentioned, polyphonic ringtones are included, and you can choose from 39 built-in tones. There's also a vibrating alert for when you want to be discreet. Plus, the handy speakerphone makes it easy to talk to callers without having the phone to your ear. Perhaps most importantly for users in rural areas, the A560 is a tri-mode phone, meaning it can operate on Sprint's digital PCS network, as well as analog networks that serve many outlying areas. Lastly, a voice dialing feature makes it possible to call your contacts by simply speaking their names.

Messaging and Tools
If you need basic messaging capabilities, the A560 has you covered as support is built-in for sending and receiving SMS text messages. T9 text entry, a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets, is built-into the unit-- a plus for text messaging users.

The A560 lets you work on the go with an integrated calendar, appointment scheduler, and a to-do list. The phone also includes a world clock, a timer, a calculator, a voice memo recorder, a memo pad, and an alarm clock. What's more, the A560 features an embedded global positioning system (GPS) chip necessary for using 911 emergency location services, where available.

Vital Statistics
The Samsung SPH-A560 weighs 3.58 ounces and measures 3.54 x 1.85 x .99 inches. Its lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 3.3 hours of digital talk time. It runs on the AMPS 850/CDMA 850/CDMA 1900 frequencies. The phone comes with a one year limited warranty.

1 out of 5 stars Horrible.......2006-11-30

This is the worst phone that I have ever seen. You cannot do anything on it! I hate it and all my freinds say its stupid too. I got this as a christams present last year thinking it so cool but after 2 days I realized that parents had made a big mistake. I have to always repeat myself on this phone and the sound quality is horrible. Samsung mad a huge mistake making this phone, and sprint for supplying it. I know Im just a kid and you dont care what I think, but I know horrible phones when I see them.

1 out of 5 stars Worst Phone Ever.......2006-10-29

My boyfriend's phone before this one broke (it was a few years old) and he needed a new phone fast on a limited budget. The reps at the store handed him this one and he bought it and left. It was a huge mistake. This phone has dropped call after call. My boyfriend travels a lot for work and is used to getting great coverage across the US with Sprint. He started calling customer service to complain to see if he could get a new phone, but because he didn't have insurance on the phone they told him there was nothing they could do for him. They did tell him however that he could get a credit on his account if he called in for every time he dropped a call and he did. My boyfriend was actually paying his cellphone bill with the amount of credits he was getting for dropped calls. This phone also doesn't have the internet which means no downloading of ringtones/games/etc. The phone's screen cracked about 5-6 months of use and he had to get a new phone.

1 out of 5 stars The worst phone ever!.......2006-10-28

This phone is the worst phone I have ever owned. I run a small company and this phone drops client calls all the time! Sprint won't stand behind their reps that told me this phone was reliable.
I've charted the number of dropped calls and they go up when the atmospheric humidity drops! So give me a call if it looks like rain, otherwise just send me an email.
shame on you sprint and samsung.

5 out of 5 stars I like it..........2006-06-19

This phone fits the description that Sprint has on it's website to a tee. It's compact, functional, minimalistic and user-friendly. Nice little cell for anyone who's just looking for a simple cell phone.

4 out of 5 stars It's Just a Cellular.......2006-05-07

This is my second Samsung cellular in four years(SPH-N300 was the first).I just got it and I am pleased with it despite all the bad ratings I have read.It is very inexpensive.I paid $19.99 and reactivated my Sprint account.Excellent for what I basically want to do;place and receive calls. All those other"Home Entertainment-Laptop-Cameras-Web-Games" features some folks want are found in bigger and more expensive cellulars. The Samsung A-560 is a very basic cellular designed just for communication.Nothing else.
