NIKON F5 SLR Body Only

Product Description

From the Manufacturer
One of the most advanced SLR cameras available today, the Nikon F5 features an autofocus with five highly-sensitive sensors that will keep up with subjects at a stunning 8 frames per second.

The light meter, the first in-camera meter with color sensitivity, divides the frame into 1005 discrete units. It then analyzes the light and color patterns and compares them against thousands of images that have been programmed into the camera's on board memory. Users can adjust the size of the center weighted metering area from 8mm to 20mm for more accurate small area metering.

Exposure control is controlled further via EV compensation, AF and AE lock controls, four exposure control systems, full manual control and automatic balanced fill flash that can be set in increments. A wide array of backs, viewfinders and other accessories make this the most advanced camera in the Nikon system.

Product Description:
The Nikon F5 is THE professional standard in 35mm cameras. No other camera on the market today enjoys as broad a reputation for flexibility and solid reliability as the F5. Its all-metal body and Titanium meter housing construction, coupled with an improved resistance to moisture and dust make the F5 a rugged and dependable camera regardless of the conditions under which you shoot. The F5 features two different auto-focusing methods, Single Area for normal shooting and Dynamic for fast moving subjects. (In Dynamic AF the F5 can track a subject as close as 66 ft. and moving at 200 miles per hour!) For light measurement, the F5 has a standard center-weighted meter (of course), a spot meter (with 5 selectable spots), and a mind boggling 1005 pixel matrix meter that works in three colors (RGB) and compares its measurements against an on-camera data base of 30,000 images before deciding on an optimum exposure. No small feat when you consider that both the autofocus and the sophisticated metering system can keep up with the F5's blindingly fast 8 frames-per-second motor drive. The Nikon F5 is not just technologically sophisticated, this camera was designed to be held and used. You'll find that whether it is being held horizontally or vertically, the F5 is extremely well-balanced.
