Features:

Compact, Take Anywhere Design
The Freedom Zoom 70’s compact, capsule-type design and light weight make it ideal to take along on vacations, day trips, family outings, picnics, or just about anywhere you go. It slips easily in a coat pocket, purse, or fanny pack, and features a retractable lens with a built-in lens cover to protect the high-quality optics.

Easy Operation
The Freedom Zoom 70 is extremely easy to use, even for a beginning photographer. All functions are automatic, giving the user complete freedom to concentrate on the subject or scene. Just frame the subject in the viewfinder, zoom in or out for a pleasing composition, and press the shutter-release button. Family and friends will have fun taking pictures and even a stranger will have no problem snapping a shot of your group positioned in front of a famous landmark.

35 - 70MM (2x) Power Zoom Lens
The compact, 2x power zoom lens allows users to capture a variety of scenes. The 35mm wide-angle setting is ideal for landscapes and group shots while the 70mm mid-telephoto setting zooms in close for great-looking portraits. A convenient zoom lever makes it easy to adjust zoom position while composing the image in the viewfinder.

Precise Autofocusing
The camera’s infrared autofocus system keeps the main subject sharp from as close to 4.3 feet to infinity at 35mm, and from 5.3 to infinity at the 70mm setting. Simply place the autofocus zone on the main subject, press the shutter-release button partway down to lock focus, then press the button all the way down to take the picture.

Focus Hold
This feature locks the focus so that the main subject can be creatively positioned anywhere in the frame. Just place the autofocus zone on the main subject, press the shutter button partway down to lock the setting, recompose the picture as desired, then shoot.

Multi-Function Automatic Flash
The Freedom Zoom 70 eliminates flash worries by making all the flash decisions automatically. Whenever additional light is required, the camera fires the built-in flash to properly expose the subject. Since there are no settings to make, the user is free to concentrate completely on the picture. If the main subject is backlit, fill-flash can be selected for additional subject illumination. Plus, a flash-cancel button is provided for circumstances where the use of flash is not permitted or desirable.

Red-Eye Reduction Lamp
To reduce the red-eye effect caused by the flash reflecting off the inside of the subject’s eyes, the red-eye reduction lamp on the front of the camera illuminates to close down the subject’s pupils before the flash is fired.

Automatic Film Operation
The Freedom Zoom 70 eliminates all of your film loading worries. Simply position the film cartridge and leader, then close the camera back. The camera automatically sets the DX-coded film speed (ISO 100 or 400), threads the film to the first frame, advances the film after each shot, then rewinds the film when the roll is finished. The power rewind function can be activated at any time.

Self-Timer
The convenient self-timer delays shutter-release for approximately 10 seconds after the shutter-release button has been pressed, allowing the user to set up the shot and appear in the photo. Countdown is indicated by a blinking lamp on the front of the camera. Self-timer operation is cancelable.

Remote Control Capability
Freedom Zoom 70 is remote-capable using the optional IR Remote Controller RC-3, allowing users to release the shutter when standing away from the camera. The shutter can be released immediately or with two-second delay.

Auto Power OFF
To save battery power, the Freedom 70 Zoom turns itself off automatically if not used for three minutes.

Selectable Data Imprinting
The built-in quartz data back imprints the date or time right onto each photo. Data imprinting can be switched on or off whenever desired, and is very useful for cataloging photographs or keeping photo records of important events such as birthdays, weddings, graduations, etc.
