Six flash modes to respond to different photographic conditions
- Automatic Flash Mode: The flash fires automatically any time it is required when it is dark.
- Auto Flash/Red-Eye Reduction Mode: The red-eye effect may occur when you photograph people using a flash in a dark place. To reduce this effect, a lamp lights in advance, then the photograph is taken using the flash.
- Flash Restriction Mode: Restricts the use of the flash to retain the atmosphere of the location and to enable photos taken at dusk or indoors to have a natural quality.
- Night Portrait Mode: This mode is effective when you wish to feature both the subjects and the background in the street at night. This mode makes it possible to adjust the shutter speed automatically according to the brightness of the background when using the flash.
- Fill Flash Mode: When you photograph people in direct sunlight, the result is often unwanted dark shadows. This mode eliminates the shadows and illuminates people when there is a strong backlight.
- Landscape Mode: This mode is useful when you are photographing a landscape from a distance (the flash is canceled).
