The Epson FX-880 dot-matrix printer comes in very handy when you need to print forms or invoices, especially if you're working with multiple sheets. It has two high draft speeds, 455 cps and 410 cps, and prints at a normal draft speed of 310 cps. Near letter quality is 77 cps. The FX-880 can handle up to forms of up to six parts (five copy sheets plus the original). The printer has 9-pin impact narrow and wide carriage printing and a zero tear-off paper feature for less waste. The print-head life is over 200 million characters at 14 dots per character. The FX-880 has four bit-mapped eight bar code fonts. It includes front, rear, and bottom paper feeds, and can auto load single sheets or print continuously.

The FX-880 has a bidirectional parallel standard interface and an input buffer of 32 KB. A driver CD, a user's guide, and a print ribbon are included. Measuring 6.1 by 16.3 by 13.8 inches, the FX-880 weighs 16.8 pounds and fits easily on a desktop or counter. The FX-880 comes with a two-year limited warranty in the U.S. and Canada.
