Print speeds are as fast as 24 ppm for both color and black-and-white prints, with first page out in just 17.5 seconds. A 500 MHz processor combines with 288 MB of memory (416 MB max) and 10 GB internal hard drive to provide reliable printing in heavy use network environments, with a 200,000-sheet recommended monthly duty cycle. A wide variety of originals are accepted, including paper (plain, preprinted, letterhead, prepunched, bond, recycled, color), transparencies, labels, envelopes, and card stock. Custom sizes range from 3.9 by 7.5 to 12.1 by 18.5 inches.
The 9500HDN's four printing trays have a combined input capacity of up to 3,100 sheets, with a 600-page standard output capacity (up to 3500 max). Connectivity is provided by the 9500HDN's parallel, HP Jet-Link, HP Jetdirect 615n Faster Ethernet (10/100Base-TX) internal network print server in EIO slot, hard disk in EIO slot, and EIO slot ports.
