This best-selling beginning Italian text has provided hundreds of thousands of students with a lively, authentic, and comprehensive introduction to Italian language and culture. Prego! introduces students to the language through a focus on vocabulary and exceptionally clear grammar explanations, then reinforces that knowledge through the wealth of exercises and activities that follow each grammar point. Customer Reviews:
Great Book!.......2007-01-11
Learning Italian for an upcoming trip....this school book is the key...it's easier to follow (as it's intended for High School)than other self help books....and is full of useful information...I would recommend the workbook to go with it...or just make copies of the pages to work with....Great book...it is helping me a lot.
Prego! an Invitation to Italian.......2006-11-10
Mint condition & arrived in a short time! Very pleased!!
Not awful, but not perfect either.......2003-12-16
This is an alright text book. It does what it's meant to do. A person can learn Italian from this book as long as they are also in a class as well, but it definately has some flaws. One -it needs more examples of some of the more difficult grammar points. Two - the order is strange. Why did you start with avere? Somehow essere seems like a better place to start. And the chapter themes! They pretend that they have chapters arranged by topic, but it seems very haphazard to me. Also, several major grammatical topics are missing from this book, and as a result, many of my teachers have had to give us multiple hand outs to compensate. It's ok - but it could be a lot better.
Invaluable resource.......2003-01-14
I read this entire book across two college semesters before moving to Italy. After having spent $500 or so on Italian language books, this is one of the few that was worth the money. Even though I speak fluently, I still refer to this book frequently to resolve difficult tense questions or clarify grammar details. I highly recommend this book to any serious student.
Wait for the next edition, or stick to the 4th!!.......2002-07-28
I took 3 semesters of Italian, with each semester covering 1/3 of the book, so I completed the entire book. This book is good if you follow it in a traditional classroom setting, especially since the proffessor pointed out all the mistakes in this book, which unfortunately, are quite numerous for a textbook. I have also checked out the 4th edition, which is much better than this one as it is better structured and contains useful charts,(which are now omitted) and is thoroughly proofread. The 6th edition just came out, so hopefully it is an improvement from the 5th.

Book Description
Now anyone can learn a foreign language while commuting to work, running errands, or even taking a trip with the family. The new all-audio Drive Time series starts with an ingenious “On-Ramp” CD that eases language learners into Spanish, French, Italian, or Japanese with simple, practical expressions and engaging warm-up exercises. Three additional CDs contain 18 lessons that cover all of the essentials—vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and basic conversation.
Drive Time also includes a 64-page reference guide for anyone who would like to see spellings or read dialogues as a review—from the passenger seat, of course!
Customer Reviews:
Drive Time: Italian (CD).......2007-06-27
Easy to understand native speakers. Lots of pause time to repeat and practice words and sentences.
Learn Italian While You Drive.......2007-06-12
This is a fairly good CD. Each lesson builds on the other to increase the difficulties. It repeated, refreshed, reviewed from earlier lessons and inroduced new words in each lessons.
entertaining!.......2007-05-17
We've only had a few opportunities to listen to this tape but we've enjoyed it and find ourselves repeating things we see along the road. I'm sure with more time our comfort level will increase!
Great but Better with Behind the Wheel Italian Revised with Text.......2007-05-15
I give Drive Time Italian a 5 star rating with some reservations.
The strengths of this course lie in its categories, its clear native speakers, the breakdown of vocabulary which is presented as a dialog, disassembled and then reassembled so that you get the gist as to the structure, the native speakers interacting verbally in common language situations, etc .....
The downside is that the creators of the course have included (of all things) car horns blasting, I suppose to separate different learning sections within the course.
The problem is that every time a horn blew, I turned my head to see who was honking at me (nearly getting into an accident a time or two). Very distracting.
Also, Drive Time, like most language courses on the market today, still hasn't figured out that 'original' is always better than 'canned'.
This means that learning to speak your own mind with original sentences in a language is much better than simply 'parroting' phrases over and over in a number of restricted categories.
For this reason, I DO recommend you buy Drive Time Italian but I recommend you use it along with Behind the Wheel Italian Revised which is a marvellous course which employs more modern and sophisticated learning techniques that will actually propel you into fluency in Italian a lot faster than Drive Time. Another plus to Behind the Wheel is that you learn original communication immediately and the course comes with a fabulous and very complete book that includes everything from idioms and verbs, to directions and sentence building templates.
Drive Time Italian: escultate e repetete.......2007-03-26
A good program. Four disks -- great value for the money. Do give yourself time to learn the lessons, though. If you're an "auditory" learner, this is a great program, but if you need to read AND hear, it's obviously not as effective. The company does provide a modest-sized text, but it's pretty limited in its scope; but then again, it does have to fit into a DC case. Again, this is a great value for the money. Definitely worth a try.

Again - Absolutely BRILLIANT!
Highly reccommended to anyone going to Italia*
I spoke very good Italiano when I lived there in the 70's - but a bit rusty now - and my husband doesn't speak any at all - this is a must for Italia and Rick Steves' does it for us - as well as his books on Italy and Florence - Brilliant author - he covers everything you would need to know to visit this Beautiful country
We're natives now!.......2007-05-22
We are having a blast going through the book and learning new phrases/words for our trip to Italy.
Rick adds some great funny lines as well as the ones that you will NEED to get along in this wonderful country
Great little book.......2007-05-18
I really like this book. It is organized really well and provide useful phrases. The size is great too. I'm going to Italy and will keep it handy. I would recommend it!
You probably don't need this book.......2007-05-17
Having traveled in Italy extensively I find that an Italian/English dictionary is more useful than this combination. And smaller. Many Italians speak more English than you can speak Italian. I've used Rick Steves Guide books for years. They are great. Save your money. Don't buy this but buy an up to date guide from Rick.

I love it.
I purchased three. Myself and two of my best friends are going to Italy in October. We all love the book and will be bringing it to Italy with us.
Love it, love it, love it. Thank you.
Great price also.

Book Description
As society becomes more international in nature, knowing a few words in other languages has become more useful. Perhaps you travel frequently abroad, or your business requires you to travel overseas. Perhaps you have friends and neighbors who speak other languages, or you want to find out more about your heritage by learning a little bit of the language your ancestors spoke.
Whatever your reason for wanting to learn some Italian, Italian For Dummies is the right book for you. Written in partnership with Berlitz – experts in helping people learn foreign languages – this book gives you the skills you need for basic communication in Italian, and it will get you well on your way to becoming fluent. Just think what you're family and friends will think when you order off the menu at your favorite Italian restaurant!
Italian For Dummies covers not only ordering at an Italian restaurant, but also these topics:
- Basic spelling, grammar, and numbers
- Meeting and greeting, and making small talk
- Shopping, shopping, and even more shopping
- Going out on the town
- Business situations
- Traveling, checking into a hotel, and planning a trip
- Handling emergencies
- Top Ten lists with advice on how to pick up Italian quickly, things you should never say in Italian, and favorite Italian expressions
The best thing about this book is that you can learn at your own pace; for example, if you're planning a trip to Italy next year, sit down once or twice a week with this book and go through the chapters that you'll think you need for your trip. That's a lot easier than dragging yourself to a class twice a week – not to mention a lot more fun, too!
Customer Reviews:
Not for dummies!.......2007-05-07
Learning a language is difficult, at least for me, and I was disappointed with this book. Yes, it does provide a lot of information, but it is not presented in a way that makes learning the language any easier, fun or engaging. And, since I enjoy learning Italian, I've tried several types of programs. I use this book more as a reference tool. Can't imagine ever learning the language from scratch with it! Clearly not for dummies.
Just a peek.......2007-05-01
This book and CD is a bird's eye view introduction to Italian. If you a serious about learning the language, choose a product with lots more audio content. Unless you hear the spoken language you'll never grasp it.
On the other hand, if a quick look is what you're looking for, then this is the book for you.
Fantastico!.......2007-03-11
This is a really easy book to use. believe it or not, Italian is my first language, English my second & I speak several others as well! I used this book as a refresher course & I was totally amazed at the ease of use & the ability to understand everything that was put before me! I highly recommend this book to absolutely anyone that wants to learn basic Italian!
NO CD-ROM W/THIS BOOK!!.......2006-11-25
I purchased this book as it supposedly came with a CD-ROM - it does not!! It comes with a regular audio CD. The error in the product title is on AMAZON'S part, as Amazon clearly describes it as containing a "CD-ROM." I didn't notice until I received it that the book cover states "audio CD". As for book content, no comment yet, as I'm trying to decide whether the book is staying or going.

Customer Reviews:
Easy Italian for any age............2007-04-04
Highly Recommend this book and audio for beginners and intermediate Italian. My family is taking an Italian Class and the Professor uses this book!
Easy to follow and even if you are not taking Italian classes I recommend purchasing this book.
Cute........2006-09-02
Cute describes these books in the 10-mintues-a-day series. Pleasant, a little fun, a little insipid. But, really, not so bad just to get a taste of the language before you decide to move on to deeper study.
Actually--in contrast to more than one other reviewer--I found the word-substitution presentation to be quite helpful in anchoring the meaning of the word into my memory. This is not an untried method, being also used in the EasyLearn Language audio programs, and other texts.
Those word stickers don't stay on too long, though. Be prepared to lose a lot of them.
Very Useful.......2006-08-02
This book really came in handy on our trip. The menu cut out cards and the flash cards proved to be very valuable to us, especially since a friend gave us the bad advice that everyone spoke some English. Don't believe that, there were a number of people that did speak some amount of English but we both wished that we had taken more time before our trip to learn a littlem ore of the language.
Italian in 10 Minutes a Day .......2006-07-05
My wife and I have now spent a good month "learning" with
this book. In fact more than 10 minutes a day,
more like 30 minutes per session.
We both speak other languages, so we can compare.
GOOD, nice thematic picture groups,
and you need to learn the words associated with them.
(We did.)
BAD, again, and again Ms. Kershul introduces words,
and grammar which do not fit into the "just mastered"
scheme of things.
IRRITATING to the extreme:
Ms. Kershul gives her instructions in a mixture of English
and Italian in one sentence.
(We would have preferred one line of Italian ONLY,
followed by one line --say in italics--
providing the English translation, in many cases preferably,
with an explanations "how this compares to what was done yesterday".)
BAD:
In attempt to NOT introduce grammar, you are left high
and dry figuring out gender, declinations, and worse
conjugations by yourself.
(We have not yet seen satisfactory forms summarizing 'things',
and we are half way through the book).
In anger, we finally went to the local library
and got a 70 years old Italian grammar for High Schools.
That did solve our problem and left us convinced
that "new and improved" does not necessarily
provide a better learning experience.
Somewhat IRRITATING:
Ms Kershuls's choice of vocabulary seems to assume that
1. you wish to visit lots of relatives
(not an uncle, niece, grandson, cousin, grandparent, or daughter
is forgotten in the family tree),
2. you wish to order meals and "buy stuff" constantly
(we assure you, that is the one thing Italians
are very good at, understanding English when you want to
buy things or order a meal)
3. you wish to tell Italians that you are "American"
(as if our accents and clothing are not dead-give-aways)
4. you pray "catholic", "protestant", or "Hebrew".
(the Italians we know couldn't care less
-- how about instead "politics", "music", "movies", "soccer"
and the "bella ragazza" over there)
In summary, we are ready now to look for a book which
does not claim to be "easy, in 10 minutes a day",
but emphasizes grammar,
groups vocabulary (and discusses alternatives for each new
word),
provides clearer indication of emphasis in the pronounciation
(example: telEfono, versus incorrect tElefono)
Teaches Italian as a language of "constructed" full sentences, rather than "single catch words".
------------------
Our final test,
No, we would not recommend this book to a friend.
Just what I was looking for..........2006-04-02
I've bought and used Italian tapes and they were OK. I still use them in the car. Something was missing, though. I really needed to see the words because some of the pronunciations on tapes made it tough for me to really understand the word.
I found this workbook and snapped it up. Why? It reminded me of the learning activities that I see every day in the primary grades in which I supervise student teachers. I asked a language teacher friend to tell me if these exercises would be effective and she said "YES!"
I like the pace of the book, with quick exercises that are each logically related to the exercises before and after it. You get to SAY a word or phrase, REPEAT it, WRITE the word several times. The repetition has helped me quite a bit.
This book has a feature that I find particularly enjoyable - paragraphs of instructions are sprinkled with Italian words and I find myself reading the Italian word and understanding it immediately. Wow! Reading in Italian. Not a lot, but Italian nevertheless. It's progress.
The coolest part of this workbook are the stickers - well, maybe not the coolest part, but very cool. Also, you get these little word labels that you stick on things around the house and you get little flash cards.
For me, this seems to be working. I think that if fits my learning style. It might just be what you need as well. Italy should be a little easier for me this summer.

Ciao.......2006-03-22
Unfortunately the CD does not seem to follow the text. Presentations on the CD are very limited and do not provide good practice for students. The Berlitz CDs are much better.
The book is very expensive for a language text. In updating the text through sequential editions, the authors have added very little to the topic, but have changed the pagination sufficiently to make it necessary for students to buy the latest edition. Thus increasing the cost for students without any significant improvements in the material.
In some places there are vignettes in Italian with no translation provided. Since some of the expressions are not in the vocabulary, this makes it difficult to understand, for example "Informazioni", page 86 in the 5th edition.
Good accompaniment for the textbook!.......2000-08-29
This lab manual is a great accompaniment for the textbook "Ciao"! I found that the exercises are very helpful. They emphasise the grammatical points made in the textbook very well. The only problem with it is that if you use it to teach yourself, and are not in a classroom situation, you can only do half of the exersises, as no tape or CD is included for the laboratory half of the book. I think it is still worth buying, inspite of this flaw!
What a help!.......2000-06-01
This workbook as tremendously helpful in supplementing the work from the textbook and classroom exercises. It brought together all the activities and lessons as an additional reinforcement. I would definitely recommend purchasing this workbook/lab manual.

Book Description
The shortest route to mastering verb conjugations
One of the greatest challenges in learning a language is mastering verb conjugations. The books in the unique Language Verb Drill series make it easier than ever for learners to meet that challenge.
Drilling, whether it's for learning a musical instrument, a sport, or a language, is an essential part of a sound education because repeated, concentrated practice makes specialized skills become second nature.
Unlike most verb books, which tend to concentrate on tables of conjugations, the books in the Language Verb Drills series allow students to focus exclusively on building mastery of verbs without being distracted by other elements of grammar. Combining the features of a workbook and reference manual, they clearly and systematically explain how a verb system works while providing numerous drills for practice. These revised editions of the popular study guides now include a final review section to reinforce the reader's ability to automatically select the correct verb form.
Customer Reviews:
One of the best Verb Drill books out there.......2007-05-25
I have been working with this book for months now and have found it a great help in conjunction with the Pimselur Italian cd's for this beginner. The Pimselur cd's are great, but you really need to do some written work so you understand what it is you are listening to and get a better ideal of verb usage. I have purchased several of these types of books, and this one seems to be the best (for me).
Just the ticket.......2007-03-14
Verb forms seemed really scary until I started drilling with this book. Drilling may sound boring but I think it starts setting patterns in my head. Also a great way to just get exposed to more words.
Better With Italian Behind the Wheel Complete.......2006-07-10
I took Amazon's advice and bought Italian Verb Drills to complement my Italian Behind the Wheel Complete Course.
Excellent together.
Italian Verb Drills is a true guide to Italian verbs. What I love about this reference is that there is a complete answer key at the back of the book and that ALL tenses are covered.
What makes this guide so effective with Behind the Wheel Italian Complete is that virtually all of the verb tenses you hear on the CDs you see in the verb book.
The Pimsleur course I used and returned didn't even scratch the surface of the depth and richness of Italian Behind the Wheel Complete so Italian Verb Drills would have been next to useless with it since Pimsleur doesn't cover enough verb tenses and vocabulary to make it worthwhile to buy.
Behind the Wheel Italian Complete 9CDs on the other hand is virtually 'loaded' with verb tenses from the present to the subjunctive. All in one course.
I do heartily recommend you buy Italian Verb Drills if you take on Italian Behind the Wheel Complete.
You'll need it and you will learn faster.
Italian verbs.......2006-06-27
I am finding this work book to go along very well with my Pimsleur language CDs. There are good exercises to reinforce useage. I am a beginner learner and am finding it well written, easy to follow and extremely helpful. I am using it in conjunction with Barron's Italian Verb work book as well and am finding that they explain things a little differently from each other, so what I don't get from one I get from the other.
Pratica e ripetizione! Great exercise book........2006-02-21
Just like the other reviewers said (who I can tell are serious about learning Italiano!), the key to learning is repetition. I recommend this book to my students as an extra practice book, on top of the regular material that I present during class. They can do this at their own time, even after taking the course.
Remember, learning a language is like learning a song!! A very very long song, for that matter! You hear it once, and you can't remember a thing, but as you here it more and more, and then start to repeat... you'll be singing before you know it!!
So, for those who really want to learn this musical and romantic language, DON'T GIVE UP!! Everyone feels lost at first, but with some patience, you'll be speaking.
So, I don't think this is a good book to get on its own, it's something you buy on top of other books that can actually teach you the structure. This book alone won't do it. It doesn't have enough explanation and you won't be able to do a thing with it, unless you learn some basic structures first.
It's hard to find one book that fits everyone's learning need. I like Living Language, especially for those who are serious about learning (not just cram a few phrases before a trip).
If time permits, definitely join a course in your area - there's no better practice than to practice in a group!
Also, get some audio CDs, because the books will teach you sentence structure, but the CDs will give you a correct pronunciation.
Buona fortuna!

Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.
Provocative, appealing and controversial.......2006-08-02
Fomenko has succeeded to convincingly demonstrate the misconception about what "history" factually is... It is fiction and -like we can read and judge for ourselves- no science. It indeed is "make belief" only. I "discovered" Fomenko while studying the "old" history of Al Andaluz, Spain. Having found too many contradictions in available data, having seen too many forgeries as to pretend the importance of christianity for its decline, I ventured out to find Fomenko, who convinced me that we know little if anything for sure of the epoch before the XI-century. However, the integration of the Arabic-Islamic cultural history into the heavily distorted Western fails... There are some attempts to fit "the budding new religion" (Islam) into Fomenko's scheme, but they are too weak to be taken seriously and too often focussing on Turkey as the region where things started to influence the West, which is untrue at all.
Islam certainly was no "new religion" in the X-century. That the highly cultivated Al Andaluz ruler Mohammed-I could have been "mirrored" down in time into some myth about the "illiterate" founder of Islam itself is highly speculative. Nevertheless, Fomenko convinces me about the processes that were involved in forging a christian history. Intriguing and controversial as his books are, I recommend them as to rethink our current position in time and space and simply verify what was claimed. It is a "good" book, but not for bedtime reading... Mundus vult decipi, the world wants to be cheated. Fomenko's readers will understand why.
pharaohs lived in the 3rd century AD.......2006-02-16
Traces of white wine were found in Tutankhamen's tomb however there were no record of white wine in Egypt until the 3rd century AD, 1600 years after the young pharaoh died according to the traditional chronology. http://www.newscientist.com/channel/being-human/mg18925395.400
It can be interpreted as a contribution towards New Chronology theory that pharaohs lived in the 3rd century AD.

Excellent book.......2007-06-12
I purchased this book to help me with my family trip. It was quite helpful when I don't know how to say certain
things. I was able to learn how to ask for directions during our driving trips to Tuscany town. I was able to purchase fresh grocery, order food.
I also learn some Italian from the CDs I purchased from Amazon.
I highly recommend this book. My children picked up some Italian, too.
Came in handy for all sorts of scenarios you'll enounter..........2007-04-10
I travelled alone in Italy for one week, and this little book was so helpful...referenced it again and again during my visit. It came in handy for practical situations travelers always encounter...directions, menu verbiage, and basic conversation with locals.
It also helped in more specific situations...for women traveling, this will help you formulate quick responses to the "ciao bellas" you'll receive. Bene!
Potty Mouth Phrases.......2007-03-09
I thought this would be a great way for my 10 year old and me to learn a few phrases before our trip to Italy. This would have been fine if I was 20 years younger and traveling with a bunch of free loving hippies. Using this book, I can use pick up someone up at a bar, ask for a condom, let everyone know I brought my own needle and call people derogatory names. Sure, I can learn to order spaghetti for dinner, but this is definitely not what I was expecting. In the future, I will have to read over a phrase book in person before purchasing.
Great Language.......2007-01-16
This little book is magic, is clear, easy to understand. It going to help us a lot in our trip.
my favorite pocketbook!.......2006-09-13
i carry it everywhere, when in the states or italy- great and easy set-up, extremely comprehensible pronouciation tips and helpful/useful blurbs about not-so-well-know (by the outside world) cultural practices, lingo, actions, etc. pleanty of categories, and explanations that make learning bits and peices easier to understand- cant say enough good!

It didn't have everything.......2005-10-03
This book all though it had the bind in card from the publisher did not have the book key for quia.com which was what my professor uses. I bought online because I thought I was getting everything for less but it ended up being the same amount as if I had bought it in the school bookstore because I also had to purchase the quia key. So the moral of the story is that if you need quia just buy it at the bookstore and then you won't have to wait for your book.
