5 out of 5 stars Outstanding!!.......2002-08-30

I had the honor of attending the live recording of this and each time I listen to this CD, I like it more and more! Ollie is an outstanding musician and it is obvious by this CD that he has taken what God has given him and perfected it! Listen for the foot stompin' solos that will have you bobbin' your head! This is truly an All-Star performance. But don't take my word for it. Buy the CD and you'll see. If you get a chance to see him live, take advantage too. Keep it up Ollie!

5 out of 5 stars Magnificent.......2002-08-20

This is one of my favorite CD's right now. This was done live, and wonderfully produced. Our current culture is screaming for intelligent, awe - inspiring music. "The Author and the Source" takes listeners through a journey of a life spent dedicated to the science and beauty of music. Arlington Jones' debut project is sure to be compared w/ many of jazz's greatest players.

5 out of 5 stars A new Face.....A new Sound......WOW!!!!!!!!!!.......2002-04-09

This cd definitely takes the listerner on a journey. It is a live recording and after listening, you feel as if you are right there in the middle of it all. Arlington is a young musician/composer but this cd sounds as if he has been playing jazz for many, many years. The cd ranges from traditional jazz, to funk, to contemporary jazz with influences of Gospel, R&B, and even some latin music!!! This is guaranteed to give you a finger snapping, toe tapping, good time! If you haven't heard it, check it out, if you haven't heard the name, remember it because this guy is going to be HUGE!!!!!!!
