Cadence: The Review Of Jazz And Blues: Creative Improvised Music, January 1999
[Katsenelenbogen] is a passionate man who feels deeply, and he has the
talent to express those feelings through his playing as well as his
writing.
Product Description
This CD is a benefit project, the proceeds of which are donated to autism research and support foundations. Matthew Savage, a 7-year-old piano prodigy, and Eyran Katsenelenbogen, his teacher at The New England Conservatory of Music, perform their own solo/jazz improvisational piano pieces. Matthew (and his mom) intersperse original poetry readings about life and autism. It is a fun, upbeat musical adventure unlike anything you have heard before. It is truly amazing to hear Matthew being a child and then play jazz and improv the way he does. And Eyran's playing is absolutely masterful. He captures your imagination and takes you away to another world.
