My daughters (ages 3 and 6) love listening to Susy and her silly, upbeat Spanish songs. They request this cd everytime we get in the car, they love to sing along with her AND they are learning Spanish!

We love Susy and this is our favorite CD!.......2006-05-31

My daughter (age 2) loves listening to this CD and actually can sing along with many of the songs! We have all 3 of her CD's, and they all are a wonderful complement to taking her class. However, even if we weren't taking her class, my daughter would be learning a good amount of Spanish just by listening to the CD's. I think that between the 3 CD's (Cantemos, Los Bomberos, and this one), this one has the best collection of songs.

Excelent educational experience........2006-04-24

This is a great CD full of some of Susy's best songs. My kid loves them and keeps asking me to sing them with him over and over!
This wonderfull music has created a solid foundation for his native language.

Fun, Educational and Unique!.......2006-04-23

This is a fun spanish immersion CD from the very talented Susy Dorn. The songs are all composed and performed by Susy Dorn so they are all original and fun. The songs are completely in spanish but easy to follow along and definitely fun to listen to. We all love this CD and Susy Dorn's other CD's and DVD's. This is such a fun and easy way to learn spanish.

Great way to teach your kids Spanish.......2006-04-20

Music is such a wonderful way to learn Spanish. Susy has made it even easier with fun songs that kids pick up quickly. I can't wait for the companion book.

Pretty Dry.......2006-05-29

I found this recording to be pretty dry and lacking anything of interest. Sonny Stitt and Paul Gonsalves play some classic tunes, but don't really offer anything unique or special. I'm not really a Sonny Stitt fan or a Paul Gonsavles fan. I picked up this album because I wanted to add something to my collection for each of these artists. I was not impressed. There are so many great be-bop and hard bop recordings in the 50's and 60's. I wouldn't waste any time listening to this one.

An excellent jazz collection.......1998-07-11

Sonny Stitt and Paul Gonsalves are two very good jazz saxophonists, and this collection features both of them together. One of the best parts of the tracks on the CD is the alternating melody, where the two of them trade off back and forth (this is really apparent on track 1, Salt and Pepper). Track 3, Theme from Lord of the Flies, also features some good alternations, and the music in general is a good mix of fast and slow beats.

Album Description

Ellery's debut solo album, Salt & Pepper (a reference to a joke about her Midwestern roots) was recorded in Limerick and Ennis from March to July 2001, while she was living in Ireland. Twelve guest musicians from Ireland, Scotland, England and America, including Thrí Núa members Olive Brennan and James Ross; special guests Eoin O'Neill, Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin and upcoming flutist Nicole Rabata accompany the fiddler as she performs a wide range of old and new tunes and styles. The simple, live sound of the production means an honest and energetic recording that gives center stage to the tunes and lets Ellery's personality shine through.

Contemporary Irish fiddle playing at its best........2002-01-29

This album is a wonderful example of the new dynamics of contemporary Irish fiddle playing. Ellery Klein plays with a lightness of touch that makes you feet want to join in. The more sombre tracks on the album are played with elegance and poise. Her classical training has not been forgotton but has gelled wonderfully with her natural flair for traditional irish playing. The other musicians on the album support her wonderfully. The final track written by Klein is a real treat.
