Victor Manuelle's Decision Unanime reads like an obvious bid for pop stardom--slick production, big-name pop and reggaeton vocalists--but it's ultimately anything but that. Instead, it's a grand reaffirmation of his status as one of the genre's preeminent salseros. Manuelle could likely have a crossover career à la Marc Anthony, but he's simply not interested. No mediocre English singles for him. Manuelle instead showcases his polished presence and suave good looks amid sweltering salsa rhythms, which make up the bulk of Decision Unanime. There are flashy cameos from the likes of La Secta Allstar, Hector "El Father," and Don Omar (who turns in a surprisingly tender vocal during "Nunca Habia Llorado Asi"), but they don't seem calculated or forced. In fact, Manuelle turns them into temporary salseros instead of copping to their grooves. The disc's best moments--"A Que Te Supo?," "Cenizas," and "Hazme Sentir"--find Manuelle solo on the microphone, showcasing his charismatic vocal style. When Manuelle finally does bow to the power-ballad inclinations of La Academia finalist Yuridia during "Nuestro Amor Se Ha Vuelto Ayer," it's an effective, emotive moment. --Joey Guerra

Romantic!!!.......2007-01-28
I love this CD. It's the first time I buy one of his CD's and I have fallen in love!!
Eslabon Perdido "lost link".......2007-01-01
This Victor Manuelle's albun especially tracks #4 & #7 it could be consider as the "eslabon perdido" between the 70' salsa clasica and today's salsa. The first "salsero nuevo" that could be part of the salsa old school
Excellent Work
Decision Unanime.......2006-07-08
I just loved this album, got in shipped in from Amazon to the Uk where I live because you cant get it on the UK site. Have been a fan of Victor for about 5 years now and have all his albums.
This album has been a delight to listen to, and is completely different to his last one Travesia, which I didn't really enjoy.
My favourite tracks are Nuestro Amor Se Ha Vuelto Ayer, El Perdedor, Vamos De Nuevo, Maldita Suerte, Nunca Habia Llorado Asi, Cenizas.
Victor's HOT!.......2006-05-27
Victor Manuelle at his contemporary best,a hot hitting mix of classic salsa and hip urban ragetton..The best of both New York and Puerto Rico blended with Victor's smooth vocals and sizzling Latin rythems makes this a must have cd.
The Best of the best.......2006-05-15
Victor Manuelle did it again!! What a great CD! To me this is one of the best albums Victor has ever recorded. This is definitely a must have, much, much better than his last album. My favorite songs are:
El perdedor
Nuestro amor se ha vuelto ayer
Puerto Rico 2006- (classic salsa, featuring Eddy Palmieri)
Dos generaciones- (also classic salsa, feat E. Palmieri)
Cenizas
Nunca habia llorado asi-(Explosive Duo with Don Omar)-->Best song of the CD, in my opinion.
You will not regret buying this CD. Excellent product.

Pretty Good.......2006-07-29
This was a very unique item. Fans of the series will enjoy it. At times some of the tracks seem out of place when out of the game, but that's more than made up for by the many powerful and classic tracks that these CD's have. The first CD is more techno-inspired while the second is more operatic. It's good music to do push-ups to or to drive to. Especially the first track of the first CD.

Rootically Innovative And Chock Full of Wisdom.......1999-09-06
This recording is a blessing for those who wish to open their minds and hearts to receive what it has to offer. Culturally legitimate and filled with praises and wisdom, it's one of the best reggae albums I've ever heard. Running the gamut from roots to dancehall, this band is poised to spread Jah message to the reggae community and beyond that "every knee haffe bow an every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord." Believe it brethren and sistren- this is authentic, tried and true conscious reggae and has the makings of a classic. "Jungle Inna Babylon" is a hard-hitting track about how the wicked system will fall "brick by brick" propelled by a wicked jungle riddim interspersed with a "one-drop" chorus. Baddddd! A thunderous dub track called "Freedom Dub" will give your woofers a workout and lift your spirit to heigher heights. There's not a bad pick in the bunch and Johnny Guerrero's horn charts are blazing along with Bill Kasper's amazing guitar work. Grab this album now! Jah Guide.
Betta' than da FUGEE's.......1999-06-09
I just can't get enough of this band. I'm a huge fan of Gotee recordings and "Valley of Decision" is one of my favorites. If you like the FUGEE'S, you'll love CHRISTAFARI.
A heart for the Jamaican people, and an ear for great music!.......1999-04-14
Christafari, lead by Mark Mohr, has great music and a great message. The songs have a good a reggae sound as any I heard while I was in Jamaica. Get this CD and you are in for a treat!
Valley of Decision will refresh and rejuvenate!.......1998-09-13
I first heard this on a gray morning in a local coffee house. Within seconds, my spirits were lifted by the tropical rhythms and the essential joy of the music. I was not alone. Everyone in the place was smiling, keeping time to the music, and enjoying life, at 7:15 in the morning! The lyrics reflect Christian faith. The music reflects joy.
AWESOME CD!!.......1998-08-19
Christafari is an awesome Christian Reggae band. All of the songs on this CD have a good point and a good beat!

happiness takes place in small piano tunes.......2001-07-24
these short piano pieces are simple, but absolutely not boring. gurdjieff and de hartmann wrote some of the most thoughtful and sincere music you'll ever hear. I found this CD over a year ago and it's one I return to over and over again.
Cacaphonic Harmonious.......2001-07-15
Truly an exposition of beautiful "objective" listening. This music will not put you to sleep. Transitions are abrupt and engaging throughout the score's entirity. I play the music whenever I find myself searching for something to do or am bored. This music will consume all negativity and poke the listner to begin a stirring sensation in their own mentation. The music is not sophisticated or eligant by no means, but has a way about it which will intrige one to listen again and again.

Album Description
As evinced on his eagerly anticipated album, Morse's songwriting talents continue to evolve - as do his remarkable chops. Together with his steadfast collaborators bassist Dave LaRue and drummer Van Romaine, SMB continues to amplify the interactive musical capabilities of the rock power trio.
With "SPLIT DECISION", his ninth album as the Steve Morse Band (his second project for Magna Carta) this guitarist's guitarist has once again proven that true musical veterans don't rest on their laurels. Steve Morse continues to explore and discover, reach and attain.
"I try to have some variety in every album," Steve explains. "For instance, I like to choose themes or beginning of songs that are several years old, as well as the more recent ones. So it's all new to someone who hasn't heard it." Steve composes constantly. It's what he does. More so, what he is. "I can find ideas anywhere. In fact, I have so many that I can't locate all of them. I used to record motifs on cassettes and now they're scattered all over my house and studio." Lucky for us; his prolific output is guaranteed for decades to follow.
Customer Reviews:
What happened?.......2004-11-06
To be honest with you, the music is right up my alley. I love guitar insturmentals. I bought it after listening to some mp3's on Steve's website, was very excited to get it. On the website, Steve had an interview with the producer and he went on and on about how they spend weeks and days positioning the mics on the drums and this and that. After listening a few times I really started to be bugged how it was recorded or "mastered". The drums are almost completely lost in the mix. This was very disappointing. I really like the tunes but the sound of the "mix" just ruined it for me.
HOW CAN IT GET ANY BETTER?.......2004-01-07
As a long time fan who own's almost everything Steve has done from the Dregs, Kansas, solo and Deep Purple, this is one of his best. The compositions are incredible and full of "soul". I honestly don't know how anyone could not appreciate this music. Each time I listen it gets better. Give yourself a treat and get this for yourself and someone who loves "GREAT MUSIC".
Great Guitar!.......2003-03-11
Call this the mellowing of Morse. Though there is just one single truly acoustic song on the CD, there is a balance struck between ripping rock 'n roll and more introspective but uplifting melodies. In the liner notes, Morse claims he couldn't make up his mind whether to go with the rock band concept or explore his more mellow side instead, hence the title "Split Decision."
The resulting song cycle offers plenty of variety, a pleasant and engaging blend that drives the listener through many moods. The opener, "Heightened Awareness" is a heavy duty rocker, followed by the uptempo baroque ditty "Busybodies" in which Morse and bassist Dave LaRue play in unison throughout. "Marching Orders" encompasses the nature of the CD in a single song, starting out slightly jazzy and subdued, ultimately morphing into a raging assault. "Mechanical Frenzy" combines speed metal riffs with southern rock leads as well as Morse ever did with the Dregs, then out of left field, LaRue takes over with a bass lead.
My immediate favorite track on the album, "Great Mountain Spirits" is one of the stately mid-tempo rockers, with multi-layered guitars over booming bass and drums. The only instruments credited in the liner notes are guitars, bass and drums, but if that's not a flute and keyboards I'm hearing in this song, then it is some pretty stellar guitar synths! Nice. Soon, the CD then slows down to a jazzy, sometimes meditative tempo for several tracks, including the brilliant and enthralling "Moment's Comfort," another track where virtuoso Morse makes room for a Dave LaRue bass solo.
"Split Decision" is one of the most fully satisfying CDs of 2002.
A bit of a snooze.......2003-02-28
A lot more of his mellow stuff. One or two an album is a nice change of pace, but this was a lot of his neo-classical stuff back-to-back.
Morse is as sharp as ever..........2002-10-03
As a long time Steve Morse fan, I would say that this album ranks high among all of Steve's solo and Steve Morse Band albums. Steve's versatility and virtuosity both in composition and performance are well showcased, and all of the tracks are consistently strong without being repetitive. The musicianship on this CD is astounding - but we've come to expect that from the Steve Morse Band. This CD won the "back-to-back" test for me - the first time I finished listening to it, I went right back to the beginning and cranked it again. Highly recommended!

Good Tunes..........2005-08-09
Ignore the last comment(customer review), it's probably some over-zealous male trying to cut up a perfectly great band. I still have their cd I bought 6 years ago. I admit I haven't listened to it in a while but it's a goodie that's for sure. SoulDecision released 5 tracks from this album; "Faded", "No One Does It Better", "Ooh It's Kinda Crazy", "Gravity" and "Let's Do It Right". All were very popular in Canada, my personal favourite was "Faded" it's just so groovy and very easy to move your body to. They are still together as a group today but one of their members did leave to pursue a different line of music. They were best all together. Wonderful cd though, everyone will enjoy.
Homo Gaysion.......2005-07-06
Lame white boys sings lame white music. What a joke. The only People who buys this garbage are probably corny white females age between 14 to 45. I'm glad these vermins are dead.
A really good album.......2002-10-14
To be honest, I do not like boy bands. Thankfully, soulDecision is not a typical boy band. Yes, they are young, male, and they sing, but their music has a quality that is very refreshing.
"Ooh It's Kinda Crazy" is a fun song, with nice lyrics and great vocals. A huge hit in Canada, sadly it didn't do much here in the U.S.
"Faded" is more of a hip-hop song, with a good results.
"Let's Do It Right" is a ballad with some groove. A great song, my favorite on the CD. The guys have voices with some heft and that makes the song really enjoyable.
"Stay", "Gravity", and "Next Time" are also fun songs that will have you getting down.
Highly recommended for fans of 'N Sync, BSB, O-Town, 98 Degrees, Wham!, and anyone that just wants to have a good time.
AWESOME........2002-08-25
Definitely 5 stars for this debut album by the very talented group of soulDecision. I don't even know how to start this review; I'm still in awe by the excellence of this album. And it's been nearly 2 years since I was first introduced to this great group. (And nearly 2 years since I've been proudly obsessed with them too). I've listened to it multiple times a day ever since I got it. So why am I writing this review now? Hmmm. Well, I really wanted it to sound good and "professional" as possible, and being 14, I'm not good at that so I hadn't really gotten the courage to write it. This probably won't end up being even half as good, but here's my attempt.
I first "discovered" this wonderful group, soulDecision, on a nice September day of 2000 while I was doing some homework in front of the TV. TRL was on, and that's when I heard it. The magical song that still gives me goose bumps today, every time I listen to it. It was their first hit single, "Faded". I found myself bobbing my head along to the tune, along with my handwriting, which was also bobbing up and down my notebook. By the chorus, I fell in love with the song (and my homework looked like chicken scratch) and looked up to watch the video (and, of course, also fell in love with "that blonde lead singer" aka Trevor). Once the video was over, I ran to the computer, logged on mtv.com and found out that the song was by this group called soulDecision. Then I went to amazon.com, searched for "soulDecision" and immediately put No One Does It Better in my shopping cart. I didn't get it shipped until about two months later, because it had to come with BSB's Black & Blue CD that I also got at the same time. (Which I really regret buying because it was such a disappointment, but anyway.) So I had to wait two full months until I could listen to ten more excellent songs.
From the "ziiiiing" sound of the intro of Ooh It's Kinda Crazy (which has been a huge hit also) up to the last bit of the last song, Next Time, it's marvelous. Groovy, funky, soulful and sweet all in one album! You never have to press the skip button while playing this CD, nope, no siree. I listen to this album all day everyday, and have never gotten sick of it once. I could analyze each track and write what I like and don't like about it, but I'm not going to do that because they're all gonna sound pretty much the same: "Great song!" or something to that extent. But really. It's awesome. Faded is still my favorite songs ever.
Ever since that day in September, I have proudly been a fan of soulDecision and been obsessed with their wonderful music. Sadly, I haven't been to any of their live shows or have had the chance to meet them, but there's always the future. I absolutely love soulDecision and cannot wait for their sophomore album!
Well written pop........2002-05-17
I bought this album when I was slipping from my 'teeny-bopper' stage, at age 15. I am now more into the electronica and industrial scene, but I still have an appreciation for GOOD pop music. BSB is not good. Sorry. Anyways, this CD has funky beats, great guitar, and good lyrics. Songs like 'Gravity' and 'Only In My Mind' are great songs to listen to while doing homework, or chores, whatever. Good CD, if you like the more guitar-pop style, rather than the dance-pop garbage that is clogging our airwaves. (Britney, you listening?)

"You could never sleep at night if you knew what I've been through.".......2006-03-13
Above are some of the best lyrics Jonas has conjured. This album blew me away at the time I first heard it in '99 as great example of the Cure gone metal... it has since been eclipsed by the albums after it but is as essential as anything Katatonia has done from Brave Murder Day onwards. Really more of 4.5/5 but then again most their albums are. Also has Dan Swano on drums (Nightingale, Edge of Sanity, producer of Opeth's Morningrise and Orchid).
My first Katatonia cd, and now a fan for life!!!!.......2005-03-11
I picked this album up about a year ago and loved it immediately. It is well done and has a great atmospheric sound throughout the entire cd. It has a gloomy, moody sound to it, which is great for an album because that is what any good album should do, create a mood while listening to it. I have since bought viva emptiness, and last fair deal gone down. I consider all the albums excellent and perfectly done. I still love this album.
Don't get the wrong idea..........2005-03-09
I wanted to review this album because I don't want the only review to be a bad one. This is a very good album, it was my first katatonia album and I like it a lot. I don't know if it's true that this is nothing new or original, but that doesn't really matter. Considering that many of the people listening to katatonia are going to be metal fans, this is a lot different from what you will generally hear in metal. Also compared to Katatonia's early work this is quite different. It's possible that there are other bands out there that have this sound but do it better (I presume the other reviewer thinks so) but I don't know these bands so I can't say.
As for this album, it is very dark and beautiful sounding with a lot of memorable songs. Out of all of Katatonia's releases in this style (discouraged ones, tonight's decision, last fair deal gone down, viva emptiness) TD is probably the most laid back. They are all different and good. I would probably start with viva emptiness, then this, then LFDGD. It is hard to find discouraged ones but it doesn't really matter when you get that. This is a worthy addition to any fans collection, and not a bad place to start if you're new to katatonia. Unless, of course, you're looking to hear their old death metal stuff.
Alright.......2004-06-18
Let's revamp this review. This album sounds like Weezer with a little bit of a temper and a slightly hard edge. It really does. I don't see how this music is considered heavy or hard music really. The singer is somewhat whiny and irritating while the music is as equally interesting. The song diversity is rather absent through the whole album and everything has a monotone feel to it. I wouldn't recommend this album for this band to anyone unless if they were looking for something slightly harder to listen to, and they were fans of emo looking for some darker emo. There is better music out there, YOU JUST HAVE TO LOOK FOR IT!

soulDecision = Boy Band No More! .......2005-10-30
SoulDecision was great when they first came out with their debut album, "No One Does It Better." The album had a 80's beat with infectious singles like "Ooh...It's Kinda Crazy," their huge hit "Faded," and their beautiful ballad, "Gravity."
Of course, all boy bands began the cliche trend to cross over to mainstream pop to a more grungier rock sound. Where most boy bands failed, soulDecision has prevailed with "Shady Satin Drug."
Written mostly by lead singer and guitarist Trevor, the ten tracks are laced with fresh lyrics and gritty beats. The opening track and lead single, "Cadillac Dress" sets the album with a rock beat and odd lyrics (Take off my clothes, my socks, my shoes, I want to be naked everyday). "Shady Satin Drug," the title track is probably one of the best rock tracks on the album.
soulDecision have also played it smart and have avoided the over abundance of ballads on the album. Rather, there are two well crafted ballads equally seperated amongst the album. "So Strong," has a more adult contemporary beat with very emotional lyrics (So say goodbye, you're never gonna see my heart this way...) It also seems like they are poking fun of themselves and the boyband ballads with "Sucky Love Song," which is actually a nice so song to listen to.
Overall, this is a great album that has unfortunately been overlooked with its very selective release. The only downfall is that the album falls short of ten tracks and only 35 minutes. Songs this great should go on forever. If this is a drug, it is a very addicting one because I have yet to take it out of my CD player.
Musicians that have Grown.......2004-11-30
I heard Souldecision a few years ago and they were a good group, but disappeared. They have grown from a pop "boy band" to a mature sounding rock group. Definitely going to be hearing more from these guys in the future.

Ohshima composes a score worthy of the King........2003-02-11
For some fans, Akira Ifukube's distinctive march will be the only theme for Godzilla (hence its inclusion here). Too bad, for Michiru Ohshima has created a theme in her score for Godzilla vs Megaguirus that compliments the King of the Monsters quite well, for it is every bit as driving and majestic as the Big G itself. The Meganula and Megaguirus themes are also a nice piece of composing, striking just the right balance between alien and creepy. Fans of fantasy film scores in general and Godzilla scores in particular will be doing themselves a big disservice if they skip this one. Highly recommended.
Not Ifukube... thank god!!! Instead an ORIGINAL soundtrack!!.......2001-12-22
Ifukube was the father of GODZILLA music, and while he wrote some great themes, as a whole he became lazy and recycled music ad-nausium. Most of his music for the last cycle of GODZILLA movies "borrowed" music that he wrote 30 years ago!! Now we have a great Godzilla soundtrack that is thrilling and beautifully orchestrated, without the endless re use of the same tired music. MICHIRU OSHIMA has followed her own sense of style, and produced a new and exciting sound. Bold, yet subtle. Able to deftly balance the human and monster action . Lush orchestrations with a mix of both western influences and Japaneese origins. A terrific change of pace in Godzilla music, and like HATORI's music for SPACE GODZILLA and GODZILLA 2000, a wonderful and refreshing change from the IFUKUBE themes. Yeah... I know that some people can't seem to see past the idea that someone else than Ifukube could write Godzilla music. But this should (but most likely won't) quiet them. If you are a fan of film music, or a Godzilla fan, this is a terrific CD.
Rockin' Battle Theme! Others Good, Too.......2001-09-06
This is a very good album, with moments reminiscent of John Willams and John Barry scores. There are many additional unique themes (for the Griffon fighter ship, the Meganula, and the Dimension Tide weapon), but the best is the really *rockin'* battle theme on tracks 18-21. The latest Godzilla theme (see "Fateful Confrontation") is good piece of music, but not entirely G-like. It starts off ominous and majestic, but suddenly adds a military flavor -- a good theme for a gladiator movie, but for Godzilla?. The Ifukube purists get two extra tracks, with the "Godzilla rising from the sea" trumpets but not the traditional Godzilla theme. There are also 6 short sound effects. All in all, I liked this album better than the Godzilla 2000 Millennium score and look forward to other scores by Michiru Ohshima.
