I first heard about the Hanks last year when I was looking at Big Japan's myspace profile. I thought they were pretty good and after a while I ordered the cd. I loved it. A little later I saw they were playing a show about 20 minutes away so I went with my friend to check it out. We got there JUST when they were packing up to leave (they posted the wrong showtime on myspace). But this is how amazingly awesome this band is: I talked to Josh Grondin (lead singer) and he offered to play us an accoustic performance with the songs of our choice. Let me tell you, sitting within a foot of Josh and listening to the AMAZING brilliance of the accoustic version of their songs made me fall in love with them. Now I really can't stop listening to the cd. It's really passionate and damn catchy. You'll love it. You'll love THEM. Awesome guys. I mean, they're better than your favorite band.

I first heard The Hanks on one of the small stages at Warped Tour in Minneapolis. I encouraged my friends to come in and check out this band, who was rockin' some killer trombone to go along with their punk/pop/rock sensibilities. All we had to do was give them a chance, and we were all hooked. The Hanks rocked us...hard.
I ended up ordering a CD from their website, and they sent me a personal note, stickers, buttons, and even a letter and t-shirt on my birthday a couple of months later! Holy frightz, that's fan appreciation! These guys deserve a break, so you should check them out. Their lyrics are clever and heartfelt, their guitars and rhythm section are rock solid, and (although understated a bit on the cd) the horns add a little something special to this band that sets it apart from other acts out there these days. Seriously, give these guys a chance, and you will be hooked...they can rock out. Big time.

SWITCH TO DECAF.......2005-07-09

This was o.k. Nothing more nothing less. This album was hard to review, beacuse no songs really stick out. I mean the guy is a mediocre artist with mediocre rhymes, laced over just above mediocre beats. I have heard better Sesame Street singalongs for yappy kids in the back seat of a mini van.
I mean what does the album have that sticks out? "Saturday To Saturday"? "Bloody Horseshoe"? Or the multi- faceted "Boo, We Ain't Forgot About You" None of the above, or none on the album.

Sorry. And please, all angry people who think that this is a bad review, remember, it's a REVIEW. I can say what I want.

Addicted to Caffeine.......2004-09-27

Excellent from the first to last track, you can't possibly regret the purchase of Things in the Game Done Changed. I bought this CD 4 years ago, and it still is one of the best I ever heard. Each song deserves at least 4 stars. Caffeine is not too agressive and far from being one of those pop rap stars. If I would have to compare him to any other artists, Tupac would be the one I choose because they both share the same ability to rhyme without having to try too hard...smooth, balanced and unique.

NORE is on it, Ride With Me is amazing, the beats are great, the verses even better, and the artist rocks the rap game! I need more Caffeine!

This album got some hott beats to it. Rob to Eat wit Noreaga is the hottest track on tha album. Bloody Horseshoe is something you could chill to. But Rob to Eat is still tha hottest track on the CD. Buy it~!!

I Miss My CD.......2003-09-27

I broke this CD and can no longer find it anywhere. It was a good cd if you like old-school Micro which was acidic Breaks. In his hey-day Micro would uplift you while screwing your brain up for 74 minutes straight and this CD was Micro in his hey-day. I would recommend it to anyone who owns or has listened to his Tech-Mix Series or Coast-to-Coast

Whew, amazing. Dj Micro continues to become a greater Dj as he releases his second Disc. "Caffeine", brings in a little taste of Trance as Micro pounds his beautiful beats into your head! This is the second album of DJ Micro I bought, and I am already waiting for the next one to be released. This release is as fresh as the first one, and for sure, DJ Micro provides us with the most blooming sound. The beat is rising as the tracks go by, and you can hardly believe it when it comes to an end.

I have seen these guys live 3 times, and I just got my hands on '9'

It's great to finally hear their songs from the studio. If you ever get a chance to see them play, don't miss it! They are surely one of the better live bands in the area. They should be going places with their amazing material.

Every song on the album seems to hold its own, but Are You Alone and Seven are my personal favorites. The song writing on this album will remind you of bands like The Dave Matthews Band, and at least for me, +Live+.

Don't miss out on this gem!

Y wait till Y2K?.......1999-03-06

That's right, why wait till the year 2000 to finally be introduced to the Jeffrey Alan Band like the rest of the world undoubtedly will be. This guy is inspired and a great song writer! So it's no wonder that he'll probably be flung to the top of the charts in no time and become thee household name of the new millenium. We'd like to keep him our little secret up here in the pacific northwest but with music like his word is sure to leak out. Checkout the latest CD and see for your self why guys like DAVE MATTHEWS, MICHAEL STIPE, JOHN HIATT, etc. will be honored to know that their music onced influenced the Jeffery Alan Band.

I had the JAB play live in the store I work in and they were AMAZING! I would highly recommend anyone who likes blues, pop, alt., rock, to pick this c.d. up. You wont be disapointed. They are a group that will be going to the top of the charts!

Wow! What a sweet surprise! entering a coffee house in Bellingham, Wa. was agreat Idea! I stumbled onto one of the best bands I've seen perform live in years! Being a musician myself credits me the opportunity to see and hear many bands but none so wonderful as the Jeffrey Alan Band! Well, I bought the CD, took it home and played it. Twice. The songs are firm with passion and have an element of surprise as well as compound structure. It seemed to me that tracks 1,3,5 and 7 were the juice that fuels this disc. "Can you believe" appears to be the perfect vehicle for Jeffrey Alan's voice. A touch of chorus, a dash of reverb and a ton of intention make this song explosive and gorgeous. Although "been in this Room" and "blue" provide the power and energy needed to make a band soar above others, the slower and delicate nature of "Fields of Resolution" and "Whatever happened" tell me a story yet to be paralleled by other local bands. The Goo Goo Dolls and Dave Mathews band have risen to fame with songs of lesser calibre. I promise. In revue of my revue I am left with one more thought.....Beautiful! Thank you, Jeffrey Alan Band!
