Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars great!.......2003-10-15

"Love is Here to Stay" with vocalist Ernie Andrews is really burning. An absolutley screaming version which really gets the message across. The band plays with amazing energy (and control).
"Do You Know What It Means To Miss New Orleans" is another of my favorites. When the band switches up keys at the end of the piece, i feel a jolt of electricity jump through me. And this arrangement really does make me miss New Orleans (although i have never been there).
"Creme De Menthe" is a feature for Gene Harris. The arrangement is very lush and romantic, just like Erroll Garner would have wanted it. Gene's playing is marvelous (isn't it always?).
"When It's Sleepy Time Down South" is a feature for Sweets Edison. Needless to say, he plays beautifully and with great power, especially when he plays without the mute at the end.
......they are all great, etc, etc
a great CD
