My parents used to have some records of him in the 1960's. I found one recently (Railroad?) and went back in time and what fun (and nostalgia too) to hear it again! I look for Cd's and... are we serious, out there?
It is very surprising that we can have dozens of Glenn Miller or Benny Goodman Cd's (usually the same set of tunes too) but there is ONLY ONE Harold Betters Cd available! He deserves ... Better! Thank God, I still can listen to my 33 rpm records!

Great CD.......2006-03-11

Harold is not only a great musician but a great person. He's passionate about his playing and that comes through in his music. Harold's happy playing whether it's before 50 people or 5,000 people. It's his attitude that makes for great music.

Best of Betters.......2002-01-04

We've been devoted fans of Harold since he played at the Encore lounge in Pittsburgh and have owned all of his Gateway recordings. Unfortunately, all were lost in a move. This album allows us to relive his incredible trombone playing, second to none. No one who appreciates his artistry should be without this album. Now, where can we get album #1 or any of his lps, particularly the one with "Our Waltz"?

The Best of Betters.......2001-07-20

I heard his music on 91.5 in Bainbridge Ohio. His music links the old style Jazz to the new wave jazz. His Hello Dolly starts conventional and then he spices it up. The trombone tone is great and the sound comes from a well advanced artist. I hope he comes to town so I can See Harold live.
