On "Stratford Blue" the Stan Bann Big Band takes four tunes with strong, distinct links to the big band era and shows that they are solid pieces of music that make the transition into the 21st century with flair and style. The balance of the album runs the stylistic gamut from swing to latin to reggae influenced jazz.
