Love, in all its swoon-inducing shapes and sizes, anchors Desde Siempre, an affecting collection of ballads from Puerto Rican heartthrob Chayanne. The material here dates all the way back to 1988, but it's not a best-of collection, per se. Indeed, Desde Siempre is more a sweet love letter to fans. Lilting gems "Un Siglo Sin Ti," "Atado a Tu Amor" and the glittering "El Centro de Mi Corazon" were definite hits, but this savvy assemblage gives an added sense of heft to Chayanne's seemingly lightweight repertoire. He has a knack for selecting great pop songs written by first-rate composers, most notably Franco de Vita and Estefano. Chayanne is hardly a vocal powerhouse, but his phrasing benefits from the subtle shading and nuances he uses to make up for his limitations. Sólo Contra vientos y Mareas es inédita, aunque ya la había escuchado cantada por Franco de Vita en sus grandes éxitos.Hay tres temas del disco Sincero y los demás son algunos de hace 15 años, como Fuiste un trozo de hielo en la escarcha, que es la peor canción y el peor video de Chayanne.Un timo

No se si es la disquera o que nos quieren tomar el pelo, pero en el 2002 ya hubo un recopilatorio, todas las lentas de este cd las tenemos ya, o estan en el disco Sincero(buenísimo)o son las de siempre.Don't fool us, don't pull my leg, No nos tomen el pelo, por favor, que somos jóvenes pero no tontas

Sooooh, sweeeet..........2005-10-21

This album has all the sweetest songs of Chayanne and they all made me cry. It is the first time that someone's voice squeezed my heart so much. Of course the songs are great, but having him singing to them make every song so special, so tender, and moving. You feel his love toward his work through his voice. This album will be the greatest company for you and your love ones, or just for yourself.

Correction!..........2005-10-12

I just wanted to make a simple correction, other than to say that Chayanne has had me with those moves since forever, but his voice and his style is unsurpassable. The correction is this: Chayanne was never a Menudo. He was with Los Chicos, which was another Puerto Rican boy group that was out in PR at the same time that Menudo was. AND, that was Ricky Martin who was a Menudo. Other than that, great singer, great albums!

This generations most consisted and best latin ballad artist. I must admit when he first went solo after Menudo, I didn't want to like his music. Over the years his music is just head and shoulders above all latin ballad singers.

For the players and husbands 'in trouble' out there looking for that extra edge...get this cd.

All the songs are great but my favorite is: #4'Cuidarte El Alma'

You can't go wrong with this cd.

Romantico Desde SIEMPRE!.......2004-05-04

Romantico Desde siempre is a CD by Luis Miguel. The title means basically that he's been a romantic since he was a child. Luis Miguel started his career when he was 11 years old (most fans know this) and of course we all know that boys go trough a thing called a voice change. Even with all of that going on this CD is great, I love it! It's got you hopping around one second and almost crying the next. By the way if you do look at the picture in the cover you can tell by the shadow of the haircut that the picture was taken when he was a teenager not a grown man.

I don't understand how those who reviewed the album call themselves admirers of Luis miguel's work. I have listened to his music for almost 20 years and I can tell you that the reason this was not satisfying for them was because the songs on this album are from when Luis Miguel was 9 until about 15 or 16 years old. His Voice has changed since then but the whole point is to show you that he has been a hopeless romantic since he was a young child. Pay attention to the songs and you'll get the album title. It is a collection of his early work and if you are truly his admirer you will appreciate this album.

I have been a fan of Luis Miguel's for decades and applaud him for his ever-maturing voice, showmanship and the fact that in this world of "let- 'em-hang-off-your-***" pants and gruff exteriors, he's man enough to wear a suit and tie, arguably proving better than anyone that dressing like a gentleman is sexy. However, this CD was the worst I've ever had the unfortunate displeasure to hear. I notice that "Directo Al Corazon" is not even offered as an audio sample on this website. Why doesn't that surprise me? Because I have the heard the recordings from "Romantico Desde Siempre" and "Directo..." sounds as if it is being sung by a VERY young child. Alas, I did not purchase a CD with a picture of Luis Miguel as a child on the cover. In fact, the cover deceptively displays an apparently non-childlike silhouette of Luis Miguel (I wonder if Luis refused to show his face on the cover, hiding himself in the shadows due to his probable embarassment over these recordings). The singer of "Directo..." (I cannot believe it is Luis Miguel) sounded like Alvin the Chipmunk or a pre-teen Osmond (take your pick). It was quite disconcerting to say the least. I am giving this CD one star, just for the belly-laugh I had (after I got over the initial shock, of course) after listening to "Directo...", but I'm thoroughly unhappy with the deceptive marketing technique employed with respect to the packaging. I suppose one should not judge a book (or a recording) by its cover.

I think that for a young boy, Luis Miguel really knew what he was doing when he was singing these songs. This CD was just somewhat the beginning of Mickys career and you could tell just how big and successful he would become.

If you're looking for Luis, this is not the cd. It is his music, but he's not singing it. Stay away from this unless you don't care for his voice. I really don't even know who all was singing.

I think this is a good Cd to listen if your into Banda. This is one of my best Bandas i like to listen. I really enjoy this Cd, it has songs that you'll like. I hope you can be hold of one for yourself and tell your friends about how good the CD is. Enjoy it's worth listening too.I, Myself like to listen when I am doing some aerobics and have it on then. Though it gets even better in some kind of party to dance with the Music.
