Take a few spins with the debut disc from teen rocker-grrl JD Natasha, and you'll soon find yourself hitting "repeat" on that IPod or disc changer. The bilingual performer has a finely tuned sense of melody, and she matches it with angst-ridden lyrics and bold, confident vocals. The mix is both impressively mature and refreshingly age-appropriate for the young singer. Imperfect-Imperfecta is a joy from start to finish, careening smartly between amped-up guitar anthems and pleading love ballads. Natasha wails solidly in both English and Spanish, and she peppers many of the album's individual tracks with phrases in both tongues. Whatever the language, the young singer excels on standout tracks "Tanto," "Lagrimas," "Dime" and "Not Healthy." Comparisons to superstar Shakira are accurate, especially during the jangly groove of "Tatuaje." Both singers have distinct, full-bodied vocal styles and playful lyric tendencies--but let's not sell Natasha short. Her musical pallette is brighter, poppier and a bit more accessible. This album is great. The first time I heard 'lagrimas' i fell in love with it. I decided a few times not to buy it thinking she would be one of those girls like hillary duff but in spanish but when i heard 'tanto' , 'tatuaje' and 'plastico' i thought damn this chick has a huge voice and really deep lyrics and great music for being 17. Anyway i decided to buy the album and I will never regret it. ALL THE SONGS ARE REALLY WELL MADE AND GREAT TO LISTEN TO. She reminds me of Avril Lavigne but in spanish/ They're are totally diferent in voice but still comparable in style of lyrics and music. Pretty much don't expect something soft like hillary duff (no offence to any fans of hers), this girl actually has tallent.

DARK, AGRESSIVE, AND FULL OF ENERGY.......2006-03-22

Maybe to me, Jd Natasha has a weird voice, but in the good sense, she can sound full of angry, but still femenine. The music sounds strong,fast, as a lightning, I love "Plastico" "Tatuaje" "10 mil" and her firts single "Lágrimas" is good to me, but here you can find even better songs. My advice is buy it now. You'll feel in love with this cd at your 3rd listen.

I bought this CD along with Bebe's Pafuera Telarana and this one sucked SO bad in comparison. I bought it because of the positive reviews i read here and im sorry to say they that were very misleading.

Basically I don't recommend this CD, but that isn't to say you won't like it!

Natasha you are unique! I adore the entire CD. La musica esta fantastica, me hace volar a otro mundo. Las canciones que me hacen sentir de plano en otra orbita son lagrimas...the acustic version wow!,tanto, tan cerca, 10 mil, piscis and her own version of hey ya. Natasha tu eres mi nueva idolo, escribes lo tuyo a todo dar. Hey si quieres musica para alimentar el alma de una manera bien sensual este es el cd que te llevara a ese punto...

Guaranteed WORTH your ATTENTION for Spanish rock lovers.......2005-09-07

My friend had this album playing in her car, and right from the start I got into "Plastico" and "Lagrimas." After buying it, I loved "Tanto," "Tatuaje," and "Tan Cerca." Then I REALLY loved and kept playing "Piscis" over and over and over again!!!! (Piscis is my absolutely fav of her songs.) Her Outkast cover of "Hey Ya" is amazing and I like to pretend I can sing it. To be honest I never got into "Ingredientes," "10 mil," "Dime," and "Not Healthy," but the others are sooooooo absolutely fabulous that I have to give it 4 stars. Please check this album--you will not be disappointed!!

I had bought the regular version of Imperfecta-Imperfect and immediatly fell in love with the whole album. ITS BRILLIANT!! Then after I heard they were gonna re-release it with a dvd full of extras I bought it again. Its a great pack for a collection if you're a hard core fan like myself... GOOD STUFF

It's more imperfect than perfect........2005-08-26

I heard about JD NATASHA a few while ago when her first single "LAGRIMAS" was being played on the radio. I bought the cd IMPERFECTA/IMPERFECT and I was totally in love with it. From start to finish. Then I found out she would be re-releasing it again with a new name "Imperfect/Imperfecta" and a new cover and a bonus dvd and so I thought that it would probably bring bonus songs but no to my surprise I find out that "TANTO" and "HEY YA!" have been taken out! I love her music but I think that the price is so not worth it since 2 songs are missing. The dvd is good, her videos are simple yet intriguing and the photo gallery is the same pictures that the booklet has. Overall she is a great artist at only 16 and writes her own lyrics and kicks ass performing live but the re-release sould've been better. Piscis and Tanto are my favorite songs from this album.
