Yeah so as you've seen this album has been rated fairly well I must agree completely with all the good posts. The CD is a different Pausini, but still a very good one. Her first song draws you and the rest of the tracks stand on their own. I am especially fond of the odd number ones La Perspectiva de Mi and Escucha Atento are great and so are the rest. Really you must buy this album, if not for the melody, then for Pausini's voice which is amazing and strong! Awesome album I've been listening to it nonstop.

VERY NICE ALBUM.......2006-12-03

This album is a very good work, especially the first six songs. The track I like best is "Viveme", a wonderful ballad. "Escucha Atento" is an uptempo, with great energy. "Tu nombre en mayusculas" is a slower number with a hounting tune. "Como si no nos hubiesemos amado" is also a very nice song. The only thing I don't like too much on the album is the final track, with mixes spanish with english lines, I think this wonderful tune could have enterely spanish lirycs, but it's a minor flaw. Buy this album, you won't regret.

Excellent CD.......2006-10-21

I am really liking Laura's style here on this CD! I originally bought the cd because I kept hearing "como so no nos hubieramos amado" in the radio. But now sometimes I will skip over it trying to get faster to "tan importante."
Her voice is as light yet powerful as ever. My favorite tracks are "Mi Perspectiva" "Escucha Atento" "Bendecida Pasion" "Tan Importante" and especially "Amar Completamente", which seems that every word could have been written for me. I relate so well to many of the songs on this album on different levels, and the emotion and sincerity of the words - even knowing they are adaptations - are very fluid and touching. I only wish I understood Italian so I could hear how they originally were meant to be.

You probably know there are 3 hits on this album, if you are a fan of latin music. This album really is something special, due to Laura Pausini's voice. She may have the best female voice in the world. She doesn't simply yell to showcase her vocal range, as in the case of Celine Dion or Whitney Houston. The overall quality of the notes she sings in several keys is simply outstanding. The song writing is very strong on this album, but tends to fall off a little after "Como Si No Nos...".

She sings with believeable intensity and is destined to break into the US market more as she becomes more and more comfortable with English. "Viveme", though overplayed, can still send chills down one's spine.

This is a solid effort from her. you will enjoy this.

Talent to the Extreme!.......2006-07-01

I have been a fan of Ms. Pausini for quite some time, and this album just gave me another reason to be in love with this woman. She is so talented, raw and her songs evoke so much power and emotion. She is a true artist! This album is so good in both Italiand and Spanish. It is influenced heavily by rock, unlike her previous work. What ever genre Laura decides to sing in, she will have a fan base everywhere! My favorite tracks are: "Escucha Atento" "Resta in Ascolto", "Como Si No Nos Hubieramos Amado" "Come Se Non Fosse Stato Mai Amore", "Viveme" "Vivimi" and "Mi Perspectiva"!!! Go BUY THIS ALBUM!!!

Beautiful beautiful!.......2006-03-02

I am not a music connoisseur, but I do love Piazzolla, and I like Saxophone. I think the way the two are combined in this CD is absolutely wonderful. Piazzolla's compositions are the "usual" ones, but believe me, Mondelci's sax rendition is just outstanding. This is wonderful music for your thoughts and your senses. Highly highly recommended. If you are in doubt, do listen to the music samples on Amazon, but remember that the sound quality of in the CD is way superior to that allowed by the short samples. Too bad I can only find another 2-3 CDs by Mondelci.

Lovely, lovely listening.......1999-08-10

Oh, no! I thought when yet another tango CD came my way for review. Well, I should have thought Oh, yes! The Delos label seldom disappoints and their new by Piazzolla (DE 3252) is quite lovely. Here we have Saxophonist Federico Mondelci and the Moscow Chamber Orchestra under Constantine Orbelian in a program of 12 arrangements (mostly by the soloist) of tangos by Astor Piazzolla, mostly on the moody side, but all a welcome relief from the barrage of atonal bangings on one side and the tuneless mediocrities that pass for popular and show music today. A good deal of this will remind you of "Nights in the Gardens of Spain" and other earlier works that capture the sultriness of the Spanish climate and mindset. I highly recommend this Delos offering.

Laura pausini reafirma con este album que es unas de las mejores cantantes a nivel mundial y asi lo demostro en la 6ta entrega de los Grammys, "ganando mejor albun pop femenino", e interpretando unas de las mejores canciones de este disco "Como Si No Nos Hubiermos Amado", realmente es una de las mejores voces, este disco te mostrara de la madures de esta artista a traves de todos sus discos. Oh, I just love, love, love this CD! It is the perfect blend of soft and hot. The perfect intro to salsa for gringos without leaving Latin music veterans unsatisfied. That Brazilian song, Sabe voce, is especially beautiful. I hope Bonilla records more like this. Perhaps an all bosa album would be next?..

Very enjoyable collection of Early Spanish Opera.......2006-01-26

Barroco Espanol Vol 2 is a collection of pieces from early Spanish 'Zarzuelas' or operatic pieces. As the notes state, they are very Italianate, but they have a few surprises here and there. Much of it indeed sounds very Italian, even with touches of a Mozart-like sound.

I recommend this if you are especially fond of Spanish and Spanish influenced music. Otherwise, the interest may be a bit academic. I must say, however, that the vocals by Senorita Almajano may be worth the price of admission!
