forgettable second disc.......2006-10-02

This is not really a best-of collection, but just a compilation of some of Fangoria's past work. Unfortunately, it was released prior to the last album, Arquitectura Efimera. That aside, I can think of one choice Fangoria song that got left out, which is Salvame, from one of their earlier EPs. On the other hand, you have a few of their earlier, relatively unknown songs, like Rasputin and Jason y Tu.

The second disc, all remixes, is forgettable. It would have been better to have scaled back the mixes, and included a few more original tracks. Still, as an odds-and-ends complilation, it's a worthwhile purchase.

Y mientras tanto, yo miro la vida pasar...
Fangoria es un digno exponente de lo que es un buen grupo musical cuando evoluciona, sea que cambie de nombre o no, en este caso ellos cambiaron de nombre y avanzaron musicalmente (para mejor...).
Y siguen siendo dance y siguen siendo sarcasticos y siguen reflejando en sus letras ese desasosiego y esa melancolia que siempre hizo de ellos unos super exponentes de la musica iberica e hispanoparlante en todo el mundo.
OJO al cover de Raphael, que es simplemente... de antologia.

Fangoria is, probably, the best spanish duo of electronic/alternative music. Olvido Gara (aka "Alaska"), the singer, has one of the most impressive voices I ever heard. "Dilemas, Amores y Dramas" is a first-class selection of Fangoria's tracks published by Subterfuge Records (Spain), which includes some rarities and incredible remixes of their finest songs.

You will be amused with fun tracks like "Rasputin", "Jason y tu" and "Rumore", and you will feel breathless as soon as you hear some beautiful pieces of art such as "Me odio cuando miento" ["I hate myself when I lie"], "No sé qué me das" ["I don't know what you give me"] and "Hombres" ["Men"].

Fangoria is unique, kind of dark, superb... The perfect choice for someone who is looking for a wonderful musical option. If you like PET SHOP BOYS' music, you are a little bit nostalgic of the 80's sound, and you are eager for electronic music... Do not think it twice!! Get this double-album and enjoy it!
