The well of undiscovered material never seems to dry up, even nine years after the death of Tejano queen Selena. Momentos Intimos features the usual hodge-podge of English and Spanish hits ("Amor Prohibido," "Dreaming of You," "No Me Queda Mas"), but it is notable for two newly orchestrated tracks and an unreleased demo recording. Lilting string arrangements and lush horns accentuate "Como Te Quiero Yo A Ti" and "No Llores Mas Corazon," which were obviously recorded early in Selena's career. Still, her mature and nuanced interpretation on both tracks is an unexpected delight. It is "Puede Ser," however, that will attract the most listener interest. The pop-rock tune was reportedly recorded days before Selena's death in her home studio. Even in this unrehearsed demo, Selena's soulful delivery seems effortless and serves as another reminder of her natural talent. With a slightly sharper musical arrangement, "Puede Ser" could have become Selena's latest chart-topper. Greatest Hits Again??.......2006-03-27

Selena will always remain the best selling Latin artist and I am a huge fan of hers...but you can only release so many greatest hits....The only reason I purchased this cd is for Puede Ser...That song is amazing....But In the past the family has released...All My Hits,All My Hits 2,Ones,and also they have Unforgettable,Unforgettable The Studio Album,and Ultimate Edition....You can only release so many Greatest Hits....But Selena is a great artist

I personal way to listen to selena.......2006-01-09

The songs here are way to listen her in a different way. It like a reflection of her best of her upbeat and slow songs in one cd. I really like the songs on this album because it truely show the vocalist in her with these songs. Only love and I'm Getting Used To You are two of my all time favorite Selena songs and to have them on one album it nice. I a great mix of Spanish and English. It a great way to listen to Selena and it's a fresh way of getting songs from her. The two re-recorded songs are also my favorite I never knew that Selena could sing romantic songs like the two on the album. I ben listening to thoses two more than Puede Ser. I like Puede Ser but I like the other two re-recorded songs better.
The spoken liner notes are cool to listen get more stories about your favorite songs and about Selena.
In all I think this is the perfect gift for any true Selena fans.

Help! Another Greatest Hits Collection.......2004-08-28

This CD typifies the releases EMI has been subjecting us Selena fans to the past few years. Load a CD with Selena's greatest hits, one unreleased track and maybe a remix or two. I had twelve Selena CDs when I bought this one, and I wish I could have taken this one back as soon as I heard the alleged "new" stuff. I did not like this Selena CD at all. I already have three Greatest Hits compilations, I didn't need a another new one. I myself could have made a better Selena CD than EMI has just released to the unsuspecting public, nine years after her death.

It seems that EMI and the Quintanillas are still trying to profit from Selena's popularity long after they have run out of unreleased material.

If you already have "Ones," "All My Hits Vol. 1," and "All My Hits Vol. 2," don't buy this CD; you will be wasting your money. The "new" tracks are just not worth the money that you will be paying for it.

More of the Selena we've all come to love.......2004-07-29

EMI Latin's uncovered Selena's last recording that she made days before her tragic murder on March 31, 1995. The song, a duet called "Puede Ser," is definitely hit-material and Selena portrays so much soul in her vocal interpretation of ths pop/rock/Latin tune. Momentos Intimos is definitely intimate, personal and very, very Selena.

Great song on lastest Selena release.......2004-04-04

The unreleased song recorded in her home is a real testament to her talent and I love the song because of the rock sound. Imagine if she had lived she would have been such a superstar! I recommend you buy this CD to me the best song is Peude Ser and I enjoy the liner notes. Very insightful.

roberto yanez, cantante, musico y compositor argentino que para la decada del 70 y 80 cosecho grandes exitos en toda latinoamerica y algunas partes de europa, por su melodiosa y romantica voz y tambien por que siempre lo acompanaban magnificas orquestas como el caso del maestro lucio milena. otra de las caracteristicas que tenia yanez era ser exigente con las canciones que escogia para grabar y aunque muchas de ellas se habian escuchado por otros famosos cantantes, el las revestia con un nuevo color y brillantez. ese es el caso de las canciones que escogio para este cd, el que precisamente uso como carta de presentacion para los romanticos de la america hispana. la mayoria de ellas grabadas por cantantes y trios, ya establecidos y reconocidos y ese es el caso de regalame esta noche que grabaran muchos trios, entre ellos los tres caballeros, cuyo director, roberto cantoral, es el compositor de esa joya musical de todos los tiempos. asi podemos anadir tambien: lagrimas del alma, mienteme y regresa a mi, por no anadirlas todas. entiendo que de esta forma yanez entro al corazon de los latinoamericanos haciendose un reto y presentadose a un publico muy exigente con canciones que ya se conocian y establecio en forma categorica su estilo y su gran voz. por que este cd fue el primero en escucharse en america latina, por el talento y gran profecionalismo que siempre exhibio este gran cantante y por el acompanamiento extraordinario de la orquesta del maestro milena yo recomiendo el mismo. lamento que las decenas de grabaciones que realizo yanez tanto para el sello columbia como para fania no se sigan publicando para los amantes de la buena musica de todos los tiempos...
