Great CD.......2005-01-02

I have been following Mikie since 1994 in La Tertulia in Mayaguez PR and now that I live in the US really appreciate that he was finally able to get his songs in CD and listen to them on the train.

He has beautiful songs about life, love and society. He follows the great traditions of Luis Eduarto Aute, Silvio Rodriguez, Fernando Delgadillo and others. A must for those who like Nova Trova.

Do not waste your time or money on this CD.

Fracaso tras fracaso, Mikie nos da un ejemplo de que pasos no seguir para convertirse en un artista. Despues de asesinar las mismas canciones en vivo durante casi 20 años, este trabajo se une a sus otros en la ultratumba, incluyendo (QEPD), el grupo Viento en Vela, destinado a tener un solo "hit" (si es que se le puede llamar así...), un tema regional de novela barata. Despues de tantos años esperando un disco esta es solo otro decepcionante conglomerado de basura, destinado al "bargain bin" del Casa de los Tapes mas cercano.

This songwriter have special gift in the music. His lyrics are so deep that make you think about life and social, cultural, political issues. Great person, I hope that his cd can go across the world because is a talented singer.

After many years of seeing Mikie in different venues accross Puerto Rico, it's great to finally see a compilation of his songs being released to the public. This is a great CD that truly demonstrates what an awesome folk singer he is. If you like Luis Eduardo Aute, Silvio Rodriguez and Pablo Milanes, you will absolutely love this record!!!
