A good collection of his 1950s RCA work........2004-11-19

Perhaps because he was so successful as a bolero singer most people have forgotten that Tito was a great sonero in his own right. This CD is one of three volumes of his best RCA recordings and everything from mambo to cha-cha-cha to guaguanco to rumba is included. While I personally prefer Tito's bolero CDs over his uptempo titles, I do recommend this CD to any Tito Rodriguez fan.

Tito's natural voice at its prime, are present in all the cha-cha and guaguanco numbers of this magnificent collection of his best original songs. Numbers such as El Jamaiquino and Chica ni Lambo are examples of versatility of his music. This music transfered to the CD technique is perfect for the listener to appreciate all the latin sounds and Tito's lyrics.
