Ramon Ayala loyalists and longtime norteño purveyors, Intocable burst on the scene in the early '90s with a vibrant sound that knocked out many pale imitators. Lead singer-accordionist Ricky Munoz again shows off his norteño/soul/blues-drenched vocals. A few even say he sounds like a 19-year-old Ayala. The band's schtick is in full evidence: tension-filled music propelled by accordion runs, thumping bass, and light percussion. It's almost formulaic, but hey why not? The band's recent hits has proved consistent chart toppers on Billboard's Hot Latin Tracks. Even with the departure of Johnny Lee Rosas and Albert Ramirez, Intocable hasn't lost its golden touch. To celebrate their 10th anniversary, Intocable produced this ambitious double CD as a gift to their loyal fans. Disc One is a 14-track collection of all new songs featuring more of Intocable's strengths--hooky melodies, tight instrumentation and vocal harmonies--evident on "Aire," the first single, and "Soledad." The group injects folk rock rhythms on "Tiempo," a tune about sensing the end in a relationship, and "Es Alguien Mas," on the fear of wasting time with the wrong person. Other keepers are "Ahora Que Te Perdi," a mellow norteño ballad which stands out for its lyrics on the importance of honesty. The narrator regrets his mistake when he songs "No supe valorarte" ("I Didn't Know How To Appreciate You"). The second CD features 11 Intocable tunes recorded by a variety of top artists. Ranchera singer Pepe Aguilar sings "Fuerte no Soy," electronica/rock act Kinky does "Coqueta," reggaeton singer Tego Calderon and rapper DJ Kane offer "En Paz Descanse," and Volovan takes on "Ya Ves." --Ramiro Burr

Going strong.......2005-07-01

It took a little too long for people to realize how much talent these guys had and how much their songs were worth. It took too long for many "fresas" to say "Osea, estos chavos no son nada nacos." The truth is, Intocable va pa' largo! This CD is good. I was skeptical about DJ Kane, Natalia LaFourcade, and the rest of the people performing some of Intocable's best rolas, but it turned out to be great. Both CD's are amazing.

I have been a very big fan of Intocable for a long time. My husband and I have every album and we've seen them in concert and I can definatley say that they never disappoint. This cd should be an essential part of any Tejano music fan's collection. If you've ever liked Intocable you will love this record.

I am american, born and raised in Wisconsin. This music is not only for "nacos".... this music is for everyone. I learned Spanish in school. It just hard to describe how great this CD is. I've been a fan of Intocable for a long time and everytime they produce another CD I purchase it. I have all of their CDs. Intocable, su estilo de interpretar la musica norteña en una forma romantica, ha sabido conquistar nuestros corazones. Se nota su entraga y dedicacion en cada cancion. No solamente me encanta su estilo de musica, pero los temas de las canciones, las cosas bonitas que dicen. Aunque la mayoría de los temas son tristes, pero las canciones son muy bonitas que te llegan al corazon. La cancion que me gusto mas fue "Sueña".

This CD shows that Intocable was not just a one hit wonder. Since their stardom, Intocable has been one of the leading tejano/mexican groups of the 90's and now the new millenia. Houston welcomes Intocable to this years RODEO. This CD has great songs and has fast become one of my favorites. I recommend to buy.
