This is an absolute must-have for all Victor Jara fans who do not own a large portion of his albums. This box set includes 8 of his albums; two of them are live recordings of Victor Jara in Mexico and in Cuba. Victor Jara was and continues to be one of Chile's greatest musicians. His music demands that we open our intellect and hearts to a vision of a better world composed of love and understanding, of love for the land, the laborer and our fellow man. Victor Jara had so much more to give, before he was brutally tortured and killed by the Chilean military days following the coup of 1973, and we had so much more to learn from this man that embodied "La Nueva Cancion Chilena" movement. I also recommend the book "Victor: the life and music of Victor Jara", by his wife Joan Jara. You can find this book on Amazon.
