This single is pretty good. The acoustic version of "underneath your clothes" is great. Shakira's 3rd single off her album, "Laundry Service" was an automatic smash-hit. The sexy - yet twisted video of the song, where Shakira kidnaps her cheating boyfriend, was bizarre, but it caught people's attention. The song itself mixes punk rock, latin pop, and of course, the Tango. The song's beat and rhythm get you dancing no matter where you are. The track of this single are quite good also....

1. Objection (Tango) (Album Version) - The smash-hit single off the triple-platinum album, "Laundry Service". It was a VH1 Top Pick for the video and a radio smash! Funny yet intriguing lyrics, and very good overall - 5 Stars

2. Underneath Your Clothes (Acoustic Version) - A much shorter version of the song, but twice as much better. This version of the song really showcases Shakira's artistic talent. Practically acapella - except for bongos, a harmonica and acoustic guitar, it shows how real Shakira is, and that she is not a fake. It's a great version of the song. - 5 Stars

3. Objection (Tango) (Kupper's Deep Future Edit) - Eric Kupper's radio remix of Shakira's song. Personally, what he did with the vocals, by slowing them down, and decreasing the pitch, the voice doesn't sound like Shakira. It does, but barely. It got a fast-paced beat, lots of trance elements, but the vocals kind of wear it down. - 3.5 Stars

4. Objection (Tango) (Jellybean Mix [English]) - This remix makes up for it all. A Latin house fusion brings the song to a whole new level! The vocals are slowed down a bit, but my god, it's an amazing mix! It clocks in at 7:52, but it's worth every second. Jellybean really hit the spot on this! - 5 Stars

This single, is worth it! Shakira's latin grooves, artistic abilities, and new dance mix levels really get it going for you! Shakira's "Objection (Tango)" is a definite must!

ACCEPT fans do not miss out!.......2005-03-25

In 1993, I heard ACCEPT was releasing a disc with original frontman, Udo, I could not wait to hear it! I was very pleased when I heard this disc! To me, there are some great songs and some I would even consider classic ACCEPT. Udo sounds great howls and all and the band sounds great too. Metal fans and ACCEPT fans alike should pick up this disc if they can and try to get the import version because it includes a great song, DONATION.

THE MAGIC IS GONE.......2000-10-02

ACCEPT tried desperately to go with the flow in this album. It is really fast-paced, heavy and furious, following the metal genre stablished in the 90's by such acts as Slayer, Megadeth, etc. But this is not what ACCPET was made famous for. ACCEPT was did, guided by Wolf Hoffmann great guitar work, classical metal music, melodic and inspiring. This is not the case for this album.

Packing the same power punch of their early eighties albums ,this is one of their most accomplished efforts offering all the groove,riffs,amd heaviness that the Accept fan learned to expect from these lengendary pioneers of power metal.Worth adding to any serious metal collection.Accept should get back together for more albums like this-the time is ripe.

Album Description

Somewhere between climactic tension and self-perpetuating hopelessness, stalemates become unusually unnerving things. It is no surprise The Immovable Objection, the new CD from Stormdrain, stirs with unique, complex agitation.

"It's the first half of a sequence," explains frontman Scott Reyns. "Picture a cell interrupted by foreign object(s) in mid-mitosis and the tension it gives off. Natural growth impaired and that condition giving off an unnatural energy, or one that at least feels so. The membrane's transparency is a kind of nakedness, vulnerability and invisibility… Feeling divided, interrupted, violated, overlooked or taken for granted are common things nowadays — under a microscope, most are able to find the same shit on the outside that we can on the inside. I know I for one can… These were guiding energies over the past year or two."

The release marks Stormdrain's first commercial release after a period of pensive reclusion. Perfectionism shows the CD's lead track, "Clever," a song manifested in multiple versions ranging from industrial metal writhes to lamenting theatric soundscapes.

Stormdrain's hallmark propensity for black humor is instantly noticable in The Immovable Objection. Tracks like the boggy synth diatribe "Vomit" sport lyrics like "you can carve me up but you're the real pig here today." Others, with titles like "Clever (say never again)" and "meat (Clever)" by producers Justin Lassen and D@v-o respectively, make the wordsmith's play obvious. "That's part of the fun," Reyns smirks. "We got more straight-up with the funny this time. Count (producer/engineer) and everyone on the production team —everybody was nicely chill, going in free-spirited and instinctive."

Traits like openness and experimentalism are a signature of Stormdrain's music, with origins ranging from high to low tech, from new to old, from near to far, from unpolished to pristine. They gathered sounds using tape recorders brought on trips to Asia, Europe, and throughout North America. They swapped outtakes and disembodied noises, from answering machines to the sounds of nearby construction sites. They introduced instruments like Assyrian Saz and Aud on the thrashy "Voyeur (doubletake)," and "geekery what-ifs and deliberate misuses" via electronics and found objects on the abrasive dance assault "Slicer."

This is my review for "Objetion (Tango) UK CD1" *Track 1 - Objection (Tango) (Album Version) 3:44 - Same version thats on the album. *Track 2 - Objection (Tango) (Jellybean's Funhouse Mix) 7:56 - This is the second best Remix of "O/T" (the 1st being the Kupper remixes) This mix is great it has a Latin/Spanish vibe, kinda "flamenco" flavored. It has a spanish guitar over pounding dance beats and the vocals have been slowed down a little but not too much you can still tell it is Shakira singing (this is a good dance track). *Track 3 - Te Aviso, Te Anuncio (Tango) (Gigidagostinopsicoremix Edit) 6:13 - The original being 10:20min long (and found only on Vinyl) this is the edited version of the "Psico Remix" and yes it is 6:13min long. This remix is okay it isnt the best remix of "TA/TA" it has the intro from the album version repeating through out the track and it gets a bit Irritating. its not my favorite remix but i guess its ok after you listen to it a few times. Last but not least is the video version dont be fooled this is the video to play on your PC i thought it was the "video version" a track that you can play in your stereo. **Overall this cd is ok if you can get your hands on the Brazilion Promo of Objection get it it has all the remixes for Objection and Te Aviso, Te Anuncio except the afro-punk and gigi dagostion versions on it.
