      2006 Digitally Remastered Anthology of the "Prefab 4" who Rose to Fame in the Fall of 1966, Starring in the Nbc Television Series "The Monkees", which Chronicled their Fictional Lives Together in a Wacky Southern California Apartment. The Very Calculated Series Relied on Songs Provided by Tin Pan Alley Vets Carole King and Husband Gerry Goffin as Well as Neil Diamond and the Team of Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart. The Series Attempted to Adapt the Zaniness of the First Two Beatle Movies and Interpolate it for the Small Screen. The Concept Proved Quite Successful, as the Group Regularly Scored High on the Pop Charts. It Began to Unravel When the Revelation that the Boys Didn't Play their Own Instruments Leaked Out and They Insisted on Taking Over the Operation of the TV Show Themselves. Even Frank Zappa Produced and Appeared in an Episode and their Chosen Tour Opening Act was Jimi Hendrix! These 24 Tracks Are the Creme of These Years, Filled with Hits and Key Album Tracks.

      This is a band who hit it big in the 60's,and had a Tv show as well.Here is a good collection of their songs.I got into this band in about 1985 when i heard a few of their songs being played.I said to myself now thats a good band,and i remembered their Tv show but it hadnt been shown on TV for a number of years.So i went and bought an album,it was a greatest hits album and i just kept playing it over and over.
      Most of my friends were into the modern scene,but i kept plucking bands out like this,and when you listen to music like this band here the then mid eighties rock was poor in comparison.
      (Theme From) The Monkees ,Last Train To Clarksville ,I Wanna Be Free,I'm A Believer,Stepping Stone,Look Out(Here Comes Tomorrow),Pleasent Valley Sunday,Daydream Believer, and there is a stack of other songs here.

      Very strange hits compilation that reads like it was compiled by someone whose absolute favorite album is "The Birds, The Bees & The Monkees". (How else to explain the bizarre inclusion of weak material like 'Poster' and 'P.O. Box 9847')?

      The bulk of the album is OK -- but you can get better hits compilations than this.

      Side Note: I give them credit for the cover -- which includes the Go-Go girls from the TV episode 'Some Like It Lukewarm'.

      Well this has all the monkees songs u need for a party I guess. This is a good album to get u started. I have it and I liek it. It is 2 cds and it is a great buy. Enjoy!!!
