The best of all time.......2007-05-27
I pulled this CD set out for the first time in years the other day and was transported back to a time when the sky was seemingly the limit for this new sound called drum n bass. This album will put you in a trance...it gives the feeling of nostalgia while still feeling fresh. I feel like anytime you hear this it will always sound like the music of the future. It's simply the best intelligent DnB album of all time.
disappointed.......2007-05-13
journey inwards is a an amazing album with the perfect melody to do exactly that but this album unfortunately does not make it, thought I would love it because all these reviews were so positive but bukem takes nice tracks and beats and lays them all over this monotonous and mostly too fast background... kind of irritating actually because you want to hear the music and are constantly bombarded with rapid machine gun fire.
Exellent Buy !!.......2007-03-22
Exellent buy for people interested in deeper journey into foundations of drum n' bass. Highly Recommended !
Essential Intelligent DNB.......2006-11-03
A classic release. Before DNB turned too aggressive and still retained some ambient/jazzy/housey vibes, this was the cream of the crop. A crystalized moment in a fast-progressing genre, but one that I'm more than happy to revisit over and over.
Showcase of some of the highest quality D&B around.......2005-08-15
I think it's funny how a lot of d&b artist try to make their drums as fast and intricate as possible. It makes me think of what Steve Vai is to guitar. Although he has unlimited skill, I just don't dig his style too much. Theres not much you can diss about this recording, it's just very nice quality work. It sounds good without getting too cluttered and there are some insane samples thrown in, and the structure is very solid. It keeps me interested the whole time, and I usually have trouble getting away from the speakers while listening to it. It must be good then right?
I read somewhere a critic gave this 5 star and said the second disc was a dissapointment though... I enjoyed the second disk just as much as the first. This whole recording is at the same kind of level Goldie achieved with "Timeless".
"Logical Progression" just keeps getting better and better. I won't bother saying whether or not it will get tired, because every album does after a while. This one is only getting better for me though. If I see Bukem I will remember to give a firm handshake and act respectful =))))

Customer Reviews:
Good? Certainly. "New Approach"? Hardly.......2006-12-09
Some highlights: The CD takes you through II-V-I progressions in all keys, major and minor. There are scales to look at, if you want to look at them when you start. There are some sample etudes. There is a long list of sample runs in D that start out simple and gradually grow in difficulty. Some of them have comments to explain the techniques used.
This set is a versatile tool - the CD tracks have a great band accomaniment that you can use to practice improvising on your own, learn some comping skills, practice your own comping, practice scales and chords, . . . Exercises are in Bass, Treble, Bb and Eb, so just about anyone that doesn't play F french horn can use them easily. The charts in the book are extensive. The set is as good as you care to make it.
I had a small customer service that the publisher remedied instantly and courteously. Bravo!
If I could change one thing, the exercises in D might be a little more musical and a little less "classroom". I wouldn't recommend playing many of them "as is" in a real setting. However, you aren't tied to those examples when using the CD, so it's not really a big issue. A CD with 12 tracks of ii-v-i, one in each key (major and minor) instead of just D, might be a nice addition for the beginner level, but it is also beneficial to jump around different keys as some of the exercises do.
Why four stars instead of five? I have a personal bias. Music books that "change your life" with minimal user effort get five stars from me. Music books that "change your life", but only with considerable effort on your part, get four. Call me lazy.

On this lengthy two-CD set (over two hours), pianist Brad Mehldau, bassist Larry Grenadier, and drummer Jorge Rossy further explore the art of the jazz trio before a live audience. Mehldau, of course, is the main voice, exhibiting a lyrical touch and a wide, encyclopedic knowledge of the jazz piano. Although Bill Evans is obviously the primary influence, one can hear echoes of Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett, and Hank Jones, as well. Mehldau has absorbed his influences well, sounding neither imitative nor radical, and though solidly in the tradition of conventional jazz piano, he is adding his own verve, vitality, and intelligence to the genre. From jazz standards ("The More I See You" and "It Might as Well Be Spring") to pop kitsch ("Cry Me a River" and "How Long Has This Been Going On") to hipster originals ("Dream's Monk" and "Sublation"), Mehldau and crew demonstrate that they have listened well to their progenitors, following the well-traveled path of using familiar melodic material as a means to investigate mood, texture, and dynamics. --Wally Shoup
Customer Reviews:
No, not Bill Evans..........2007-06-26
Brad Mehldau is Brad Mehldau and it drives me crazy when I hear him compared to Bill Evans or when it is said that he plays in the tradition of Bill Evans. Seriously, put an album by each side by side and there is no comparison save for the fact that they both play piano. It's not a matter of one being better than the other, it's that the two don't compare well. Evans' playing is at the edge of every tune. He hints at the idea of the song, leaves openings a mile wide into which I gladly plunge. Mehldau, in contrast, plays the rhythms, he fleshes out the whole song, he is as lyrical as any jazz pianist you will come across.
Listen to this album, especially "River Man" and you'll hear a man playing the whole song. Evans, if he had played the song, would have sketched it in a completely different way.
So Mehldau is Mehldau and you should buy the album already. Then you have to get Live in Tokyo to hear Mehldau play solo. Follow that with Day is Done to hear the new trio (Jeff Ballard on drums replaces Jorge Rossy). There is very little in his catalog that isn't superb, especially as he has grown in his latest releases.
While you're at it, get Bill Evans' Sunday at the Village Vanguard. It's a great album too, but more importantly, when you juxtapose it with any of the Mehldau Trio albums, you'll hear all the difference in the world.
One of the best trio albums.......2007-05-13
Maybe because of the hype around him, maybe because of the cheesy covers, I hesitated for a long time to buy a Brad Mehldau CD. What a mistake! This album is now among my favorite Jazz recordings.
The Piano Trio is my prefered Jazz combo. Surprisingly, there are not that many good Piano Trios in the history of Jazz. Many of the great Jazz pianists like Thelonius Monk or Herbie Hancock never specialized in trio music, others like McCoy Tyner failed miserably. And Keith Jarrett's strength is solo rather than trio. So I am very happy when I discover a new trio which really performs well. And the Brad Mehldau Trio does!
Because of the general melancholic mood of his CD's, people want to compare Mehldau to Bill Evans. Well, other than the mood, the two pianist and their trio are completly different. Bill Evans is very chord-based, very "Chopin", Brad Mehldau is much more scale-based, maybe more "Debussy". Mehldau's bass group (Grenadier and Rossy) is a little more aggressive than Evans' (LaFaro and Motian). I actually would compare Mehldau to Chick Corea rather than Evans.
The Trio performs equally well on the slower tunes (wonderful: "The Folks who live on the Hill") and the faster ones (breathtaking: "Dream's Monk", "Sublation"), and both CD's (this album is a double CD) are equally good. The playing is never pretentious, never too much, Mehldau never needs to show what he can do on the piano, but everything is about the music.
If you are a jazz fan, you should definitely have this CD!
dope .......2007-01-09
i seen this guy play like 7 times and ive listened to most of his albums but this is my favorite one. brad mehldau spits hot fire ..
Anyone who correlates Mehldau with Bill Evans is Naive and Ignorant!!.......2005-12-22
When people start comparing Mehldau w/ Evans, it is a sign of the American tendency to judge people on their gestures, lifestyle, and physical attributes, or their actions away from their craft. Mehldau and Evans have many similarities but none that I can trace in their music. Mehldau has had his issues w/ substance abuse and he is a bit of a philosopher whop writes lengthy intelligent liner notes like evans on miles' Kind Of Blue. He also crouches over the keyboard from time to time like Evans. But if you LISTEN, it all ends! Mehldau's personal voice on the piano is one of the most unique, pure, and honest voices out there today. His main imfluences are more on the side of chopin, brahms, shumann, and thelonious monk! He is a true listener. His accompaniment is spectacular, and his solos are always in tune and in correspondance w/ the band. His ability to focus and dig out the goods from a seemingly endless well is incredible. He swings hard in his own way...
The pleassure of enjoy them live.......2005-06-10
Brad Mehldau, Jorge Rossy and Larry Grenader conform the best and unique modern jazz formula, just like Coca-Cola no other indredient can supply any of this three basic elements named "Brad Mehldau trio progression" if any component would be changed the taste would be never the same, this time this unique ensamble perform in a cut-breath way their most precious pieces from "introducing Brad Mehldau" thru "Elegiac Cycle" all pieces played with great entusiasm and improvisation, Mehldau never plays the same twice and this is so refreshing , you never know whats gonna happen when you see them live, is almost like a very enjoyable suspense. Art of the Trio, Vol. 5 is the most essential piece in live Mehldaus albums

Album Description
"Outer Banks" is a buried treasure that has been hidden for years. This album is comprised of the long out-of-print and largely sought after EPs, "Over It" and "Hindsight is Always 20/20," digitally re-mastered, and with brand new artwork that is a companion piece to Over It "Welcome to Virginia: The Ready Series." These songs were written when Over It were all in High School in a suburb of Washington DC, and span the time when they entered into young adulthood. That growth is mirrored in the music that this seminal emopunk band played, inspiring dozens of bands in the process. On "Outer Banks," Over It transforms themselves from a band mixing pop-punk and mid-90s emo into a band that has found their sound in fast, technical, hard-hitting yet melodic rock that is now commonly known as emopunk. You can also hear hints of the mid-tempo masterpieces Over It would write after moving from Virginia to California, including an acoustic version of their classic song, "Fall." "Outer Banks" is a must have for any Over It fan to get an inside glimpse into their early years and the development of their signature sound.

snapcase is amazing. fast, hard, pure. for any band this is a hard act to follow, forever.
Destroys Every Stereotype.......2006-09-10
There was a time when hardcore wasn't completely derivative and all about emo angst and breakdowns. This would be the school that Snapcase came from. Formed in Buffalo, NY in 1993, Snapcase were one of the most prominent and respected bands in hardcore, because with every record they put out, they evolved and took their sound to a new level. As it has been commented on many times, their trio of releases from 1997-2002, "Progression Through Unlearning", "Designs For Automotion" and "End Transmission" are among some of the best music released in the genre ever. This release, 1997's "Progression Through Unlearning" has the most straight forward hardcore feeling of any of the three, and it would only begin the legacy that Snapcase would leave behind.
"Caboose" is probably one of the most recognizable anthems that the band ever released, and it is a perfect way to lead off this disc. Filled with Darryl Taberski's powerful yells of empowered thinking, the band goes full force out of the gate to show the listener just exactly how intense they can be. Something I always appreciated about Snapcase though was that there was always something behind every song they wrote. Whether it was about enlightening your mind, or communicating with others, there was always something about the songs that made them real and not just pointless rambling or incoherent poetry like much of today's music. This coupled with the straight forward energy of the band is what makes "Progression Through Unlearning" my personal favorite Snapcase record. "Guilt By Ignorance" and "She Suffocates" are both frantic, powerful tracks with odd time signatures and interesting riffs. Each rounding out at less than three minutes, the band shows they are capable of packing their punch in a manageable time frame. "Caboose" and "Zombie Prescription" feature excellent vocal yells and drumming, as well as some nicely placed breakdowns and guitar fills. Although every track is great, "Harrison Bergeron" and "Breaking And Reaching" are perhaps the standouts, with their superior musicianship and great lyrical content.
While not the most musically diverse of the three stellar Snapcase releases, "Progression Through Unlearning" is the most straight-forward and energetic. This record really embodies the spirit of hardcore that has faded from a most of the bands in the scene today. For powerful, positive music with a great message, look no further than Snapcase, because there is a reason they are so revered. This, along with "Designs For Automotion" and "End Transmission" are all essential listening to any fans of the said genre. And remember you're only as weak as your mind lets you believe.
Priceless! - Hardcore in it's truest and finest form........2006-02-07
SNAPCASE - Progression Through Unlearning
-
Snapcase is one of the most underrated bands... In 5 Years they released 3 of the finest hardcore albums ever! (1997's Progression Through Unlearning, 2000's Designs for Automation and 2002's End Transmission.)
All I really have to say is any fan of music needs to get these 3 albums... Incredible song writing which is only surpassed by Daryl Taberski's Lyrical Approach... Take the Lyrics to opening track Caboose:
"do you know yourself do you know the others can you pull the weight that rides on another's shoulders
once you've lost yourself to the acceptance mask well could you find yourself it's not a simple task
self-inherence freedom comes from within take a different track it's time to see what you are made of
can you expose yourself can you peel off another layer will you make the time the time to control
because only you can save yourself only you can save your soul and once you save yourself
insecurities will die genuine qualities and true character will shine now that you belong to you
what will the others think well, soon they'll follow you you'll see they're all so weak come on
can you, let go can you, be you?"
This pretty much sums it up... They made music for themselves and succeeded in creating something unique, powerful and thought provoking...
Favorite Songs: Caboose, Zombie Prescription, She Suffocates, and Vent.
-4.75 Stars.

A Hardcore Classic.......2005-03-10
Snapcase, in my opinion, is one of the best hardcore bands to have ever graced this earth. It's a good break if you want to flee from the metalcore scene for a while. This CD proves it. "Caboose", the opener, has a catchy beginning and it is different from the stuff off "Designs For Automotion" and "End Transmission". This is for any hardcore or screamo fan. It sucks that this band broke up two months ago, but they had to move on and all good things have to come to an end.
raw, heavy, awesome.......2004-12-17
There is nothing to compare this album to. Sure, the songs get repitative at times, but the songs Caboose, Zombie Prescription, Killing Yourself to Live, and Weak Tyrant all but wash that away. Just listen to the first 20 seconds of any of those songs, and you will most likely be hooked, especially if it's Caboose or Zombie Prescription. Maybe not the best music I've ever heard, or my favorite, but it is without question the most energetic. Incredible.

Very Impressive and Dynamic..........2004-05-28
I received this EP a while back, but I never got around to writing a review... This EP certainly deserves many accolades. The songs and moving and emotional, but never too harsh on the ears with loud yelling or screaming. Plus, there's something about the singer's voice that breaks/heals your heart. You can tell Counterfit put in many hours of practice to deliver such a powerful performance. I definitely recommend this EP for anyone who enjoys serious and expressive music, and anyone who can personally relate to the singer's lyrics regarding love, confusion, and heart-break.
GOOD! just plain GOOD!.......2004-04-01
Man, this album is soo good i cannot believe! The first time i listened to them was when my friend burned me her ceedee. After listening to them, i knew i had to get the actual album! This ceedee is the one ceedee that is actually worth paying for. Their shows are great too! they actually sound like themselves wen they play live, not like som other bands who actually cant sing on stage. anywayz, every one of these songs on the ceedee is gud. GET IT!
You still don't own this?.......2003-08-12
The best record yet from this band of strapping young men. Every song has you singing along. Very fun live. Definitely worth buying. They'll be rock stars in six months or so, just wait.

An Instrumental Presentation of the First with MC Conrad.
Customer Reviews:
This is about the best in drum & bass!.......2003-11-23
I was introduced to this album in 1998, and I still listen to it regularly with delight, it's a favorite in my collection. This cd made me love D & B and I became a great fan of LTJ Bukem and MC Conrad. For those tired of the big-beat, hard drum & bass, or just for those looking for an introduction to the genre, this is perfect. The first cd is live (I mean completely, no computers there), with MC Conrad, you definetely feel the extatic vibe of that show and makes you hope you could go back in time and be there. The other cd is instrumental, in studio. Both offer a different sound, infused with jazz, and full of that atmospheric sound that was caracteristic of drum & bass at that time. They don't do records like this anymore, sadly.
Excellent!.......2001-04-20
I was becoming much less interested in the genre as the frequent reuse of samples and the same drum machine patterns produced a music that was tiresome at best. A co-worker from the UK was amazed that a New Yorker was interested in the genre and had nothing but accolades for Bukem after noticing my copy of Progression Sessions 3. After purchasing this album, I can only say Bukem is spectacular and MC Conrad is excellent. The vocal in addition to the instrumental disk provide a unique listening opportunity
A m a z i n g Dj !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2000-09-27
Although in both cds the songs are the same except of course the fact that in the fisrt one is with McConrad and in the other one is the instrumental cd..... the only thing that I can say is that LTJ Bukem knows how to excite you and how to calm you down! Chill out music in combination with Drum and Base!!!! Thanks Ltj
I see the light..........2000-09-25
More I listen, more I like. I purchased this disc 2-3 weeks ago and I should confess, even though I've been a huge Bukem fan, I didn't like the cd as much as I hoped I would. But since it's by Bukem the great, I didn't let go.
A few more days after purchase and a few more rounds in the disc player, I conquered. This is the PERFECT type of music to chill out cruisin' through the glow of new york city lights. I absolutely LOVE the Big Bud tracks especially the second track on the cd. I wasn't impressed at all by Rantoul's style at first but now it makes great sense to me. And Conrads style gives the music an EXCELLENT angle that creates something so real and so different. VERY mature, VERY straight forward, VERY awesome music altogether. "Butterfly" is also another excellent song. I'm looking forward to listening to it again cuz man, it's gettin' better more I play.
WOW! Now I see where it's going, don't you love it when that happens?
Joyful sound experience.......2000-08-07
A beautiful musical surprise coming from Good Looking Records. Seductive bass lines and vivid rhythms make the perfect surface for wide and oceanic harmonies. Both relaxing and meditative. MC Conrad's vocal performance makes the necessary distinction. Excellent use of echoes combined with extrinsic voice. In my opinion this is the best Progression Sessions disk so far.

DRUMM&BASS QUEEN.......2006-05-22
I LUV THIS CD!!!!!!!!! Progression Sessions, VOL. 5 is my favorite LTJ bukem CD ever and if you are a true Bukem fan you have to add this CD to your collection of Bukem classics.
LTJ IS THE SHH..........2003-09-02
This is a gem right here. Forget his Earth series, LTJ's Progression Sessions are where its at! The beats are hot and a little jazzy-just like I like it!!!!! If you've never heard LTJ live, you definitely missed out. He is THE BEST electronica dj ever!!!!
Disappointing.......2001-09-26
Sorry people, but I found this one disappointing, the continual mix seems to go on a bit, not like Bukem's other stuff at all.
It does indeed sound like the live set he played last year, but somehow there just isn't enough variety. The second CD being purely instrumental is a bit of a rip off really.
Instant groove :).......2001-09-07
I bought this album shortly before seeing LTJ and MC Conrad play live in Tallahassee, Florida. The show was amazing and this album captures the performance brilliantly. While not recorded live, there is a definite energy about the whole album with the ebbs and flows in all the right places. Conrad's vocals blend effortlessly into LTJ's silky smooth mixes and to havw one without the other would be wrong. Brilliant.
This album is increadible.......2001-08-25
Although some of the lyrics are well recycled from the other Progression Sessions, the beats make this album absolutelly unique. I can't believe anyone can mix d'n'b so well. While not quite as intense as PS4, this album is still a top notch production. Extremelly groovy, easy to get into right from the get go, this disk made me upgrade my car stereo.

A good rap album that could've been better - rappers/lyrics aren't that good - still, you'll probably like it.......2006-01-07
Sweatshop Union's "Natural Progression" is good, but what stops it from being really great is two things - A: the lyrics just aren't very interesting (they aren't about anything, but they're definitely catchy most of the time), and B: the rappers are pretty sissy sounding (they lack charisma and aren't too memorable really - they can definitely spit, though - this isn't the kind of rap you would blast from your car). Practically every song here is very good, and there are certainly hitworthy tracks like "Garbage Love Songs & Cheesy Jingles" and "Better Days", for example. The production is decent - they can definitely create catchy and fun beats which are somewhat interesting at times. The reason this got a "4" is because of the amount of good/catchy tunes here as well as those two hitworthy songs I mentioned before. The lyrics definitely need a lot of work, though (and the rappers). Mainstream rap fans probably won't like this, but underground rap fans should. Recommended.
Highlights include:
"The Answer"
"Radio Edit"
"I Got News"
"Don't Be Afraid"
"Better Days"
"US"
"Truman Show"
"Baho Ang Titi Mo" (sort of)
"On The Sly"
"P.O.T.B." (sort of)
"The Way"
"Garbage Love Songs & Cheesy Jingles"
"Any Reason" (it's decent)
All you gay mtv-ers please listen to this and die if you don't.......2005-09-03
My friend is a major hip hop head and i am trying to catch up to his dope music and so i ask him so group name and he told Sweatshop Union and so I went and bought it the next time I was at a store. I put it and listen to it and even my initial oppions were very good but then once I was in my room chillin I truely realized how damn good these guys are, and how gay mtv sugar pop is.
Better than 604... Barely.......2005-07-28
I have had this album for a few months now and it has surmounted all of the other songs, with most of my 25 most played songs in iTunes all coming from this album. Honestly, it is hard to find a problem with the album. It isn't really for people who don't like to listen to music that will make them think, because almost every bar is filled with some sort of political or social meaning. It really is a thinking man's underground album, so if that describes you I'd pick this up.
As for the other Sweatshop albums, i believe that this is better than 604, but it's hard to say. Both are definitely top 10 albums for me. Meanwhile United We Fall, the most recent Sweatshop release, is a bit of a disappointment, though by no means a bad CD. But pick up this and Local 604 first.
How i was intoduced to Sweatshop Union............2005-03-15
All I can say is WOW Great Lyrics...I especially like US... It reminded me of the Political work of Mr lif "home of the Brave" another great album...
Great group... glad I stumbled across them........2005-03-01
The undesputed highlight of this album for me is 'The Thing About It'. Serious lyrics with a good rhythm, on issues that we can change. This song was part of the soundtrack for a mountain bike video and after watching the section 20 times I bought the CD and played that 30-50 times. For this song alone the price is worth it.
Sweatshop Union is all about the lyrics. Very high quality with a constant rhythm. Serious messages. Non-aggravating voices. I prefer music that I can actually repeat the lyrics... this is it.
Tracks like US, Truman Show, Dont Be Afraid are other standouts. The rest are pretty good. I dislike 'I got news' because it is more like gangsta rap (the anti sweatshop) than anything else.
To top it off, these guys are locals to me... I'm glad to support the effort.

Great new format, Live.......2002-05-14
This album captures the new sound of LTJ, the beats are funky to start and seamlessly work up to a classic cerebral-driving sound that we have come to love from our friends at good looking. I like how they have captured the more up-tempo sound of what they actually play live on this album, it really shows the dynamic of a live Bukem & Conrad performance of which I have been to many. Then there is the instrumental which is basically the same thing set up in the studio without conrad. It goes to show you how bukem is a machine, he sounds the same in the studio or live, even after a few spliffs. Conrad's flow is less rapping and more chanting, a distinction that is lost on most people who review these albums. The chant is a totally different type of vocalism, and it has more to do with precussion along with the beat than it does with lyrics, but since Conrad is so skilled lyrically, it adds a whole mind-blowing dynamic to the dance experience. I guess you have to come at it from the drum and bass roots rather than the hip-hop to fully appreciate it.
Anything from Good Looking Records........2002-04-02
This album is recommended. LTJ Bukem has been out since a long time continuing to produce one of the best DNB albums and compilations out there.
You've got nothing if you don't have options.......2001-11-12
This is a great live album. Both LTJ and MC Conrad blend music and vocals seamlessly. As usual, the energy is high without being distracting. The mixes are smooth and well balanced. If you just want to listen to the music, play the other CD and worry no more. I think MC Conrad adds a certain dash and smartness to the mix but it's nice to have choices. Like my daddy said "The secret to life is having options."
Excellent - Despite the rambling vocals.......2001-11-04
I liked LTJ's music alot but MC Conrad's "rapping" got to be a bit annoying after a while. Fortuneatly, Conrad's routine does'nt overshadow the great sounding music.
phat, but haven`t we heard it before??.......2001-10-16
With Progression Sessions Vol. 6, LTJ Bukem once again steps up, delivering precision beats and basslines enveloped in swirling atmospherics. The combination, when done right, can be a potent one; however, the question remains...haven`t we heard it before?
Let me say that I am a huge fan of Good Looking, Looking Good, 720 Degrees, Nexus, etc. The music manages to be both energizing and relaxing, a sublime contrast. Even through the countless titles released over the years, the music can still sound fresh, with newer producers such as Makoto and J-Laze exploring new dimensions of sound and incorporating new influences.
The music contained within Vol. 6 is no different- from deep to funky and usually a combination of both, it remains consistent with and even further solidifies GLR`s reputation. The quality of tracks is not the issue that I personally have with this release. I just feel a bit cheated.
For starters, there is not a great spectrum of artists represented. Therefore, the set contains diversity tempered by similar sounding tracks. For example, Makoto always keeps things jazzy and Nookie always keeps things a little on the harder side; there is precious little space in between. The main issue I have, though, is the fact that certain track on Vol. 6 have been realeased previously, on the lackluster Logical Progression Vol. 4. I know that Vol. 6 is a live set, and as such Bukem will blend material both old and new, but to pay 2,400 yen to listen to tracks I already have on a previous release seems a little, well, cheap.
Aside from this caveat, however, Conrad sounds nice (even if he does use recycled rhymes; `can I get a vote from the good vibe commitee` being a contender for the most overused, lamest sounding line this side of `bout it, bout it`). Bukem is, as ever, the consummate DJ, blending the tracks perfectly and releasing the music`s energy while still allowing it space to breathe.
In conclusion, I would have given this collection 5 stars, if not for the issues mentioned above. These are, I feel, relevant, especially to the avid fan of Bukem etc; however, this does not mean that I will stop buying new GLR material on sight. Just a suggestion for Bukem and crew, however...perhaps placing the tracklisting of the album on the outside of the case would allow us, the consumers, to have an idea of what we`re getting into before we purchase your product.
