      and here we have yet another installment in the "standard radio hits" category, most of these songs were the only big hits for these bands, and unfortunately the only songs by the bands, that most people ever hear. It ceases to amaze me that the most popular and recognized songs from the seventies or eighties or whatever, are very, very seldomly the BEST songs.This is a good addition if you have a collection of "best of's",but if you want to really here the good stuff, then buy each individual artists albums or just the ones you like. it's the only way to really find out what's good and what's not.

      I REMEMBER ALL OF THESE SONGS, AND THEY BROUGHT BACK SOME GREAT MEMORIES. I WANT MY SON-IN-LAW TO HEAR "HAVING MY BABY", SO I WILL ORDER THIS CD. OH! FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW, GLENN CAMPBELL WAS A CROSS OVER ARTIST BACK THEN. DON'T SHOW YOUR IGNORANCE BY CRITICIZING WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW.

      GLEN CAMPBELL IS A COUNTRY MUSIC PLAYER NOT ROCK

      OK for the price, but a different version of the songs from what is listed on the CD is actually included. The two best selections, (my opinion) are The Reaper, and Heart of Glass. Though the long standard version is listed on the CD back, actually a very short verion is what plays. The Reaper is especially disappointing, the full version of 5:51 is listed but only 3:29 plays. OH well for ~$5 bucks I guess you get what you pay for.

        This was the most disappointing album I've ever purchased. When I say this at Best Buy for 5.99, I couldn't believe the deal I was getting. All of these great songs from the 70's that I grew up with, all on one CD. But then when I listened to the album I felt ripped off. Sure, some of the songs sound similar to the original recordings, but that's not good enough. When you've heard the songs 100's of times on the radio you are expecting to hear the songs that way, and anything else sounds like a cheap imitation. The cover did say "new stereo recordings by the original artists", so I did think there might be some small differences, but not to the magnitude that I discovered upon listenting.

        I agree with the other reviewers (and wished I would have checked here first). There's something fishy about this album. And I'd probably beware of any in this series (Best Buy had a whole modular section filled with various "20 best of..." albums.
