One of the best industrial albums ever made!!.......2007-02-15
I don't know why this item has no reviews, so I decided to give it one, even though I'm not an expert on it. I was recommended this album by a list of "best of blah bla" so I decided to try it - and was not disappointed. The drumming is the finest I've heard in a long time, and song composition/flow are excellent (rather than boring, repetitive, predictable, or pointlessly random and disjointed). The only thing I'm not particularly impressed with is the lyrics and vocals, but even still I find them decent - it could just be a matter of personal preference. If you are into any kind of industrial music, by all means give this album a listen!

Product Description
"Originally released in 1992 on R.E.X. Records, this is the very first Circle of Dust album ever released... Without a doubt, Circle of Dust was the quintessential Christian industrial group. And long before Slipknot was painting by numbers, Scott Alberts (aka. Klay Scott, Celldweller, Klayton) band was busy redefining modern metal with a sound that bled sadistic instincts with the sheer terror of industrial-minded mayhem. From the radioactive burn of the opening track, "Exploration" to the turbo charged tirade of "Nothing Sacred" through the abrassive allure of "Senseless Abandon," CoD delivers a molten mass of metallic fury that leaves most contemporaries trembling in comparison!"

THIS IS AN EXTRAORDINARY METAL ALBUM FEATURING VOCALIST JORN LANDE.......2006-08-16
THE METAL OBSERVER gave it a (9.5 of 10 possible points) and says this about it....
"Wow, what an album. Who'd like to hear finest epic-stuff in tradition of "Headless Cross" or "Tyr" (both BLACK SABBATH) and one of the most gigantic vocalists of the scene at the top of his career, this one is yours. His name: Jörn Lande, a devil of a fellow, who sings with ARK, THE SNAKES, MUNDANUS IMPERIUM and MILLENIUM. But with BEYOND TWILIGHT he delivers his masterpiece and is somewhere between Dio and Tony Martin, but not a iota weaker! The songs all are rather doomy and extremely bombastic. The direction I had mentioned in the beginning is OK, just darker! This album is oozing with emotionality and pure passion, it is mystic and dramatic. With one word: killer!
PROGRESSIVE WORLD says.....
Essentially, this disc contains just about every aspect of what a progressive metal fan wants to hear. In addition, you also get a very well thought out story that is truly mesmerizing and haunting.
PROGRESSIVE ARCHIVES gave it 4.40 out of 5 possible points
and said..... "Excellent addition to any prog music collection"
The beginning..........2005-04-03
This is the first release by Scott Albert (aka Klay Scott). He is credited with putting Christian industrial on the map and giving it an identity. The tracks listed by Steven A. Burton are from the 1995 re-release of this album, not this original 1992 release. Klay wanted to redo this release because he was never satisfied with the quality of this original. I highly recommend picking up this title, and also checking out Klay's latest work under the band Celldweller. Here are the tracks from the 1992 original:
1)Exploration
2)Dissolved
3)Nightfall
4)Nothing Sacred
5)Twisted Reality
6)Technological Disguise
7)Consequence
8)Demoralize
9)Rational Lies
10)Senseless Abandon

A not terribly spectacular collection of the Wailers' late 60's sides, which can be found on other, better, collections of their music.
The price is fairly attractive, so if you don't want to spend on Wailers' box sets completely covering this perios of their music, then perhaps this cd will make more sense to you.
The music is good rude boy and rocksteady style material. Bob does most of the lead singing on here, and the harmonies from Tosh and Wailer (some with Rita Marley, as well..Bunny was in jail for herb possession during some of these recordings)are quite pronounced..
Good recordings and well worth having, but again, they can all be had together elsewhere.

Not bad but not great either.......2007-01-06
This is fairly good album from the mid to late 90's era metal industrial. My main criticism of the album is that there isn't alot of difference between the songs, they tend to sound the same from one to the next. I wouldn't spend more than $5 on this album, it's outdated and there were far better industrial/metal bands in the 90's that were more original, innovative and interesting.
Not the greatest, but still very well done.......2005-01-21
I bought this and 'Brainchild' from Circle of Dust at the same time. And while Brainchild is 50 times better than Chatterbox, this is still a great piece of industrial history. And the other reviews are true, this cd actually praises God!! Very rare to find in the 'Christian' industrial scene. And this cd is pretty dang long; it's a little over 70 minuets!!
Still, the best industrial album of all time!!!!!!!!!.......1999-05-18
From the opening chords of "Torque" to the conclusion of "Sunshine" this album rocks! With techniques that range from ethereal interludes to industrial metal, no other album deserves this much praise!
Songs like "Epignosis" and "Spine" stay in your head all day!!! Jeff Bellew (now of Stavesacre)and Scott Albert (a.k.a. Klay Scott, Celldweller, Deathwish, Dread, etc.) colaberated to produce the most influential album I have ever heard in my life!!!!
In short, this is a great album and it is only enhanced by the fact that it is CHRISTIAN!!!! Though "God and Christianity are sometimes seperate" (paraphrasing Klay) this album proves what can happen when they are not...
Great industrial metal with Christ-centered lyrics!!!!
Still the peak of the current "Christian Industrial" scene.......1999-02-26
Well, I must say that this album is still the apex in the development of "Christian Industrial" music. This statement has good and bad implications. For example, one track is definitely a throwback to NIN's "wish", which in my opinion is a terrific display of angst. It does not however, posses that same raw production as NIN, Foetus, Einsturzende Neubauten, etc. This album seems a bit processed to me...but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Some tracks allude to Psalm 69-era Ministry. Very heavy stuff going on here. With the help of the then Scott Albert of Circle of Dust, some tracks acheive a very high level of chaos-- an important element of industrial music. However, in the end this album seems to have been thrown together too quickly. Perhaps if more thought went into this album, it could truly be a contender with mainstream industrial and post-modern artists. However, it'll just have to settle for being a darn good try. Get it anyway. I still highly recommend it.
Great industrial sound and awesome lyrical content.......1998-10-08
Having come from a background of Metallica and NIN, this CD was exactly what I was looking for. The Industrial type sound on this album got the blood going, but it was the intense lyrics that hooked me. For instance, on "SoulScum" the lyrics "I am the Scum, what can be done to save me?" opens up the door to what Jesus has for everyone! I love this CD. I have purchased three CD's, but I have given them all away to friends and high school students as an alternative to "alternative" music. If they can get the "beat" with a positive message than my $15 was worth it. I hope Chatterbox goes back to studio and puts out another quality product!

Customer Reviews:
"Ask me another!".......2004-01-26
First of all, unless someone had tampered with the contents prior to my purchase (which the company Chrome Dreams assured me otherwise when I emailed them about it), there are indeed three CDs in The Beatles Chatterbox but most certainly NOT three hours of recorded material as promised on the outside.
There WOULD have been over three hours maybe if Talkology CD 2 was included in the box along with Talkology CD 1 and Talkology 3 (each of the latter CDs having over an hour's worth of stuff on them).
Instead, though, the second CD (titled RINGO INTERVIEWS) is only sixteen minutes long and, unlike the other two CDs, is shoddily presented (coming even with a warning..'the lifespan of this CD may not be the same as a normal CD').
Ah well...after all, it does say on the box, 'not authorised by the artist, their record company or management' so we can almost expect something lacking ultimately.
Never mind....it was disappointing to be duped but then, with two and a half hours worth of Beatles press conferences and interviews still to listen to, who's fussy?
I can also forgive them for the mixed audio quality throughout which render a lot of questions from the press audible. These are amateur recordings, it seems, from 1964-66 after all. However, bunging them on CD hardly qualifies as being 'remastered'...yes, these are new masters but nothing sounds like it was sonically cleaned up in the process.
So...after all this complaining are there ANY good things about The Beatles Chatterbox??
Yes...there are are!
Four of them....John, Paul, George and Ringo!
Stick your headphones on (to catch any Beatle mutterings or utterances missed when listening through speakers), sit back, close your eyes and you're transported back in time!!
Beatles on tour joking, jibing and juggling with questions from the stiff Press people (muffled screams of kids outside....no really!) at the height of Beatlemania....and previously unheard, most of it!!
Who can complain, really??

The Future of Christian Metal.......2006-02-10
For anyone out there who is a true Christian believer, but loves Heavy Metal...it's probably very hard to find a great Christian Heavy Metal album. Well...search no more. This album is killer!!! I bought this album, and I listen to it just about every other day...and I've owned it for over 6 months now. They almost sound like a cross between Rob Zombie, Nine Inch Nails...and a little something else I can't put my finger on. The guitar riffs are bad-ass! The choruses often pump you up...and the beats are heavy. These guys are the future of Christian Metal...and I think with them, not only has the standard been set, it'll be tough to beat. If you wanna hear a little bit for yourself...here's a link so you can hear 3 of their songs. Seriously...check 'em out:

Buy Chatterbox Now.......2006-03-18
Ladies and gentlemen, buy this album NOW. It is filled with BLISS. A continuous flow of soothing melody. The only down side to Chatterbox, is that being an EP, it is simply not long enough. You just want it to last forever! It's exactly the kind of music you want to be played at your funeral, because it's good music for the soul. Ladies and gentlemen, buy CHATTERBOX NOW.
Rock solid debut album.......2006-03-15
The Chatterbox album leaves you wanting more. I think that's the best compliment I can give it. This album is genuinely soulful and has that brutal honesty we can only hope for from more artists. You owe it to yourself to pick it up and check out the textures within.
Stellar, moody debut from LA songsmith!.......2006-03-15
Hands-down, one of the best releases of 2006 so far. Each and every listen uncovers bits of musical ear candy that is sure to please the headphone set. The lyrics are poignant with a wealth of clever word play. It would be easy to sit here and list influences so why bother. Buy this album, discover it and pass it along!

Method Actor is an awful minor-key tune somewhere between modern ambience and retro power-pop, and is the absolute worst of both worlds. Reminds me a bit of Radiohead, Elliott Smith, and Tricky, except worse. It's just one horrible harmonically rancid chord after another, not even sticking to a key. Don't Leave is light years better with an actual acoustic guitar sound, reminding me of Iron And Wine and Owen, except still with some remnants of the previous awful song's ambience, and the singing is forced and breathy.
