While countless fans flock to see soprano Renee Fleming's performances of the Countess in The Marriage of Figaro because she's got the voice and the dramatic ability to handle such meaty roles, the versatile singer throws her fans a curveball on Haunted Heart, singing popular standards and ballads as well as a few altered classical pieces. In her liner notes, Fleming calls this album a "look back at the road not taken" -- she played a weekly gig in a jazz club while in school. Nonetheless, her feel for the material here is undeniable. Interestingly, she drops her voice a full octave from her usual tessitura, and the change reveals a robust gospel-oriented approach filled with dramatic breaths and moans. The lyrical Fred Hersch (piano) and the idiosyncratic Bill Frisell (guitar) provide support, and both are adventurous jazz players who create subtle and uniquely haunting backdrops. It adds up to an interesting cross-section of ideas well carried off by the generous talents of all involved. --Tad Hendrickson

Customer Reviews:

2 out of 5 stars Sublime and ridiculous.......2007-06-13

The sublime: much of the artistry of this recording is about sound, and the subtle blending/responding of voice with guitar sounds and / or piano sounds. It is in the sensitive musical interplay between the artists where this effort shines. Definitely not recommended for road trips!

The ridiculous: Fleming ended the majority of most phrases in most of the songs with a guttural of some sort which for me becomes irritating to the point of distraction. These punctuations are mostly quite awful: really tasteless, clumsy, and overused big time and I'm amazed at how this ever got released. Without these ersatz testifyin' noises this CD would be stunning.

So, if you have the ability and inclination to edit out this garbage from your perception as you listen I think you'll be glad you experienced these artists at work together. (Unfortunately I'm not up to it).

2 out of 5 stars Eeeeeeeeeeewwwwwww.......2007-06-06

Ugh. Like a manufactured home vs. a stick-built house, Fleming's manufactured (aka "training and technique") blues voice compares unfavorably to other jazz/blues singers/lounge acts. Would not, COULD not, listen to this recording straight through--one big long, breathy, minor key train wreck in the making. Took the CD on a road trip and had to pull over and remove from queue--either that or drive into a wall.

3 out of 5 stars Better than I thought it would be.......2007-04-10

I have to admit, Haunted Heart was a lot better than I thought it would be,especially her recordings of "River", "The Moon's a Harsh Mistress, "My Cherie Amour" and "In my life".
I think this is the most artistically successful recording of Pop/Jazz by a classical singer. I enjoyed it even better than the Anna Sophie Von Otter'/ Elvis Costello CD.
The perspective I am coming from is that of a classical singer who started out as a pop singer/songwriter. I perform and teach cross-genre but love a world class instrument such as Flemming's
I wanted to get the perspective of a friend who used to sing jingles and is also a trained singer but is usually critical of any attempts that opera singers make at crossing -over.
My friend is very familiar with Flemming's voice, but did not recognise it in this context when I played the CD for her. Her reaction was very complimentary, although she did comment that the diction was a bit strange.
She then played it for her brother a well known jazz singer and arranger who had a somewhat negative reaction. He found the singing to be overly dark and round. He prefers a cleaner more 'spoken' approach to this style of singing. I understand this perspective and therefore personally prefer Ella to Sarah as well, but let's not get too picky. Obviously, Rene Flemming is of the Sarah Vaghan School of jazz singing, which is not too shabby.

I will continue to enjoy this CD and will wait for another opera diva to top this one. But, somehow I think the next really good CD of Pop/ jazz from an opera star will also come from Rene.

To those who have been unreasonably mean and negative towards her, I can only say you are not fit to polish her shoes!

5 out of 5 stars Brava Renee.......2007-04-09

This talented woman can sing anything. I really enjoyed this cd with the lights turned down and a glass of wine to relax after a very stressful day at work. Renee could definitely have another singing career outside of opera should she choose. Hearing her drop that gorgeous voice down one octave rivals the best chanteuses in the business - Cassandra Wilson, Nancy Wilson, Regina Belle, Sarah Vaughan, etc. This cd of different musical styles reminds me of Nina Simone and Cassandra Wilson, two great singers whom could interpret any song genre and make their versions special. I loved all the songs and the standouts here are "Haunted Heart", "River", "My One and Only Love", "My Cherie Amour", "Cancao do Amor", and Beatles "In My Life", and "Hard Times Come Again No More".
I hope Renee keeps recording whatever catches her fancy because I'll certainly always listen.

5 out of 5 stars Art is always new. .......2007-03-10

Renee Fleming is an artist bringing us something new, and beautiful. The poor will always be with us as manifest in those who resent other's movement from their established zones. Renee Fleming is a great female voice with accomplishments her detractors will never have, but in their dreams.

I welcome Renee's elan demonstrated with her recent recordings, Love sublime with Brad Mehldau, and Haunted Heart with Fred Hersch and Bill Frissell. Bravery, fun, and talent combined by artists and for people who are listening. Hearing long time favorites Mehldau, Hersch, and Frissell is all the more sublime.

5 out of 5 stars Great Collection.......2007-01-23

There is no doubt John Lennon had a prolific career with many many successful beatles and solo hits. This CD has 19 solid tracks from his solo career that spanned from 1969 to 1980. He produced alot of albums to 1975, then he took a break till 1980.This has a fine colection of songs from those years. My favorite tracks on the disc are (Just Like) Starting Over , Woman, Imagine,Mind Games,#9 Dream and Watching The Wheels. You will find this a rewarding purchase.
If you don't already have some of John Lennon's music in your collection...then this is the one to get.

5 out of 5 stars A VERY PAINFUL DAY FOR ME TO REMEMBER, 26 YEARS AGO TODAY! .......2006-12-08

Before I begin this review, I would like to send my condolences to Yoko Ono Lennon, John's first son Julian Lennon and John's second son with Yoko, Sean Lennon. Today marks the 26th Aniversary of John Lennon's Assasination on December 8, 1980. I know for fact that I will NEVER FORGET THAT DAY NOR WILL I EVER FORGIVE MARK DAVID CHAPMAN FOR HIS PREMEDITATED EVIL ASSASINATION OF LENNON ON THAT FATEFUL NIGHT. AMERICA LOST JOHN LENNON FOREVER, ENGLAND LOST ITS FIRST TRUE ROCK N' ROLL SON FOREVER AND THE WORLD WOULD FOREVER LOSE ITS FIRST TRUE ROCK N' ROLL SPOKESMAN AND HERO. WITH THAT IN MIND, YOKO WOULD FOREVER LOSE HER BELOVED HUSBAND AND JULIAN AND SEAN LENNON WOULD FOREVER LOSE THEIR FATHER. WHAT A REAL SAD DAY IN ROCK N' ROLL HISTORY. R.I.P. John Ono Lennon (AKA John Winston Lennon) Born October 9, 1940, Assasinated On December 8, 1980.

Since today is December 8, I will be paying tribute to John by writing a review on the brilliant classic legendary masterpiece CD album entitled "THE JOHN LENNON COLLECTION" by the LATE GREAT EX-BEATLE, THE LEGENDARY ONE AND ONLY, JOHN LENNON. This legendary album was originally released on vinyl, cassette and CD in 1989 on the infamous Capitol Records label. The matrix or ID number of the CD release is CDP 7 91516 2. If I hear any new information concerning this legendary album, other than the much information and knowledge I have locked in my head, I will edit this review so that you the consumer will get the best and most accurate review possible.

In my opinion, "THE JOHN LENNON COLLECTION" is a great album which marks the last true testament of John's REMARKABLY BRILLIANT LEGENDARY CAREER! Please note that prior to John's RETURN (NOT COMEBACK) to Rock n' Roll in 1980, (Between 1975 and 1980) John happily walked away from Rock n' Roll and settled on raising his son Sean for five (5) years. From what I've read, it was one of the happiest time periods in John Lennon's life! I respect and admire John for walking away from music like he did. Then again, it was probably for the better good that he did it because it breathed and gave John new life! With that in mind, it inspired and restored the heart and passion John once had in order to want to willingly return to Rock n' Roll and record again. For John Lennon and all of us, it would also prove to be the most fatal.

I will list and briefly review all song tracks in this album and are in their exact order as follows: (1.) "Give Peace A Chance," (ONE OF THE GREATEST DEMONSTRATION SONGS EVER WRITTEN! A GREAT ACOUSTIC MELLOW SONG!) (2.) "Instant Karma," (THIS IS ALSO A GREAT SONG! LISTENING TO THE LYRICS OF THIS SONG MAKES YOU REALIZE THAT KARMA DOES HAVE A WAY OF COMING BACK TO HAUNT AND BITE YOU IN THE A*S!) (3.) "Power To The People," ANOTHER GREAT DEMONSTRATION SONG! THIS SONG MAKES YOU WANT TO GET UP AND SHOUT RESULTING IN FIGHTING FOR YOUR RIGHTS.) (4.) "Whatever Gets You Thru The Night," (ONE OF JOHN'S MOST DEAREST FRIENDS AND GODFATHER TO SEAN LENNON, ELTON JOHN MADE A BET WITH JOHN THAT IF THIS SONG WENT TO NUMBER 1, JOHN WOULD HAVE TO APPEAR ON STAGE LIVE WITH ELTON! WE ALL KNOW WHAT HAPPENED AND ANOTHER GREAT MOMENT IN ROCK N' ROLL HISTORY WAS MADE IN 1974 IN NEW YORK, CITY AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN! THIS IS A GREAT SONG!) (5.) "#9 Dream," (A BEAUTIFUL MELLOW MYSTIC SONG!) (6.) "Mind Games," (ANOTHER GREAT LENNON COMPOSITION! A GREAT SONG INDEED! THIS SONG, LIKE ALL OF LENNON'S OTHER POWERFUL COMPOSITIONS, TELLS IT LIKE IT IS! THIS SONG IS NO EXCEPTION.) (7.) "Love," (ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN SLOW LOVE SONGS EVER WRITTEN! I LOVE THIS SONG!) (8.) "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)," (ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL AND BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS SONGS EVER WRITTEN! THIS SONG PRETTY MUCH SUMS IT ALL UP. LETS ALL HOPE THAT THIS CHRISTMAS IS A GOOD ONE FOR ALL OF OUR SOLDIERS IN IRAQ AS WELL AS ALL OF US WITHOUT ANY FEARS!) (9.) "Imagine," (ANOTHER ONE OF ROCK'S MOST SACRED ANTHEMS! THE LYRICS TO THIS SONG ARE NOTHING BUT POWERFUL, REALISTIC AND A STATEMENT WE CAN ALL GRASP AND RELATE TO. JOHN REALLY PROVED IN THIS SONG THAT HE WAS A DREAMER AND HUMAN LIKE THE REST OF US AND NOT JOHN LENNON, THE FAMOUS EX-BEATLE OR THE LEGEND! JOHN LENNON WAS NOT ONLY A CREDIT TO HIS RACE, BUT TO THE GREAT HUMAN RACE! AN OUTSTANDING SONG ANTHEM INDEED! (10.) "Jealous Guy," (ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL SONG! YOU CAN FEEL THAT THIS COMPOSITION BY JOHN WAS SUNG THE ONLY WAY HE KNEW HOW TO SING IT, FROM THE HEART. FOR ALL YOU BEAUTIFUL WOMEN OUT THERE, LISTEN TO THIS SING CLOSELY, THIS IS HOW AN EMOTIONAL MAN TRULY BARES HIS HEART AND SOUL TO THE ONLY WOMAN OF HIS DREAMS THAT HE TRULY LOVES! (11.) "Stand By Me," (BEN E. KING'S CLASSIC SONG DONE THE JOHN LENNON WAY, ANOTHER GREAT ROCKER! I LOVE THIS VERSION!) (12.) "(Just Like) Starting Over," (ANOTHER BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN COMPOSITION BY JOHN THAT HAS SO MUCH POWER AND MEANING! YOU CAN TRULY FEEL JOHN'S BURNING DESIRE TO WILLINGLY WANT TO WRITE AND CREATE MUSIC AGAIN! THIS SONG IS OUTSTANDING, BRILLIANT, INCREDIBLE AND UNBELIEVEABLE! THIS SONG IS ONE OF THE FINAL HAPPY MOMENTS IN JOHN LENNON'S LIFE!) (13.) "Woman," (THIS IS ONE OF THE GREATEST LOVE SONGS EVER WRITTEN! EVERY MAN SHOULD DEDICATE THIS SONG TO THE WOMAN THEY LOVE THAT BECAME THE WOMAN OF THEIR DREAMS! I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH AND I FEEL CONFIDENT THAT ALL OF YOU WILL LOVE IT TOO!) (14.) "I'm Losing You," (THIS BRILLIANT LENNON COMPOSITION ALSO SHOWS THE EMOTIONALLY SENSITIVE SIDE OF A MAN LOSING THE WOMAN OF HIS DREAMS! JOHN SURE HAD A GOD-GIVEN GIFT AND A TALENTED WAY WITH COMMUNICATING WITH THE WORLD THROUGH BEAUTIFUL WORDS TURNED INTO LYRICS! (15.) " Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy)," (THE GREATEST SONG THAT A FATHER CAN EVER WRITE AND COMPOSE, THEN DEDICATE TO HIS SON! A BEAUTIFUL SONG! EVERYTIME I HEAR THIS SONG, I SHED A TEAR! THIS SONG HAS SO MUCH POWER AND MEANING, SOMETHING WE CAN ALL GRASP AND RELATE TO IN OUR DAILY LIVES! IT IS ALSO EXTREMELY SAD FOR ME, LIKE MANY OF YOU OUT THERE ARE, BECAUSE WE ALSO REALIZE THAT LENNON WAS TAKEN AWAY FROM ALL OF US SO TRAGICALLY AND IS NO LONGER WITH US BUT IN SPIRIT!) (16.) "Watching The Wheels," (IN MY OPINION, THIS IS ANOTHER ONE OF JOHN'S CONFESSIONS! JOHN IS TELLING US IN THIS SONG THAT HE IS VERY HAPPY AND CONTENT WITH LETTING THE ROCK N' ROLL LIFESTYLE GO. JOHN TRULY GOT OFF THE ROCK N' ROLL MERRY-GO-ROUND INDEED.) (17.) "Dear Yoko," (ONE OF JOHN'S MOST PERSONAL LOVE SONGS TO YOKO!) (18.) "Move Over Ms. L" (ANOTHER ONE OF JOHN'S PERSONAL SONG MESSAGES TO YOKO!) and (19.) "Cold Turkey," (THIS SONG IS A BLISTERING BRILLIANT KILLER ROCKER! JOHN'S TERRIFYING AND SCARY LEAD VOCALS COMBINED WITH ERIC CLAPTON'S BLISTERING MERCILESS KILLER GUITAR RIFF ARRANGEMENTS MAKE THIS ROCKER SCARE YOU STRAIGHT FROM HEROIN! JOHN'S TERRIFYING SCREAMING IN THIS SONG ALMOST SOUNDS AND CONVINCES YOU THAT HE IS ACTUALLY GOING THROUGH WITHDRAWLS FROM HEROIN IN THIS SONG! THIS IS ONE SONG THAT HEROIN USERS DO NOT WANT TO LISTEN TO AT NIGHT. THIS SONG WILL DEFINITELY HAUNT YOU IN YOUR NIGHTMARES! WHAT A WAY TO END THIS ALBUM COMPILATION.) THIS ALBUM IS A TRUE ENCYCLOPEDIA MASTERPIECE.

As you can see, this compilation or collection is worth purchasing that he or she should own as part of his or her music collection.

In closing, 1980 was the year and the beginning of a new decade that John Lennon, once again, had so much to say despite being in seclusion for five (5) long years. In his final two (2) albums recorded in 1980, "DOUBLE FANTASY" AND "MILK AND HONEY," John wrote, composed and gave his last testament of what he experienced and how he lived during the five (5) years he was in seclusion. I am very happy and thankful that John's life with his son Sean and his wife Yoko was almost normal but extremely a very happy time for all three. (3) I can't even imagine what it would be like to be a son of a BEATLE! I'm sure its not easy! John Lennon will FOREVER be remembered in our hearts as "JOHN," as in "JOHN, PAUL, GEORGE AND RINGO!" The contributions and accomplishments The Beatles have blessed mankind with will live on FOREVER! THE BEATLES WILL FOREVER BE REMEMBERED AS THE GREATEST BAND ROCK N' ROLL EVER PRODUCED, need I say more? R.I.P. John Ono Lennon (AKA John Winston Lennon) 1940-1980. Thanks for reading my long and lengthy review and I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it for all of you. I also hope that you will read all of my other reviews in the near future when time permits. THE BEATLES FOREVER! LENNON LIVES! LONG LIVE ROCK N' ROLL! Rock out always and take care. J.L.

5 out of 5 stars John Lennon: hits and then some.......2006-12-01

John Lennon, who had given this world so much with his words and music, was fatally shot on Dec. 8th, 1980. The first Lennon album to be released afterwards was 'The John Lennon Collection' in 1982, two years after. In 1989 it was re-issued on CD with two bonus tracks ( the last two on the CD); read on for my reivew of the re-issued CD.
The is one of the best Lennon compilations that I've heard. Give Peace a Chance is a great starter and the rest of the tracks that follow are all just as exellent; if I were to begin listing favorites, I would would proably end up giving you almost the entire track list. But the best tracks includ 'Instant Karma', 'Power To the People', Whatever Gets You Thru the Night', '#9 Dream, Stand By me' Starting Over, Losing You and the rarity Move Over Ms L. ( CD bonus track although not billed as such. Woman, Beautiful Boy, Dear Yoko, Imagine and Happy Xmas ( War is Over) are good too. This exellent album is sadly out of print and hard to find so alternatives such as The Lennon Legend or Shaved Fish ( if you don't mind a lack of Double Fantasy Material) are more accesible to the non hard-core fan. Also, to me any lack of Mil & Honey material doesn't bother me all to much; sure 'Nobody Told Me' or "Borrowed Time' or even Stepping Out would have been nice ( I actually think Grow Old With Me would have been a GREAT closer) but M&H was pothstumous album and a such I only consider it half-in the dsicography like I do all pothstumous rleases other than compilations or 'Anthologies' Anyhow, the prescence of 'Move Over Ms L.' ( a rare Lennon B-Side, circa 1974-75) should apease the hardcore fan and if you're not 'hardcore' than it won't matter anyway ( if they do even bother tracking it down. So, great compilation album highly recomended for hardocre Lennon fans, newbies who don't mind trying to find rare albums and anyone interested in rarities ( Move Over...) Such a sham that it's out of print!

5 out of 5 stars John Lennon: a very painful day, twenty five years ago!.......2005-12-09

That fatidic day signed the physical departure of Lennon but also meant the birth of a musical legend. Lennon was the active creator, the irreverent wing of the Beatles, the troublemaker, the inexhaustible peace fighter.

In our memory are still fresh the first signals of an unavoidable breakthrough in the early seventies. Since that moment the artistic profile of Lennon literally acquired a new dimension, his fertile imagination and unquestionable lyricism made of him one of the last exponents of the beat generation, in the tradition of Bob Dylan or Donovan. Lennon was an openhearted creator, he opened sliding doors and allowed to convey the concerns and existential anguish of all a non faith generation. And his themes were poems transformed in songs: Since the first bars of my first choice of his first age: Instant Karma, the barefaced cry of loneliness and bitterness expressed in Mother, or the universal song of Give Peace a chance, his personal poem dedicated to Yoko: Woman, or his undoubted masterpiece: Imagine, work that would become his immortal hymn that still engages the newcomer listeners.

This is a sad day, but also an opportunity to think about him, wherever he is. In the name of so many people who are reminding him through his records at this precise moment, or visiting his New York Department, Farewell and let' s enjoy because he followed and achieved his bliss.

5 out of 5 stars The title says it all: it's THE John Lennon Collection.......2005-12-04

The most important is the essential is here. OK, they released this new compilation this year, WORKING-CLASS HERO, but it's a double CD and I'm not sure John Lennon wrote so many essential songs during his post-Beatles career.
Here you have all the 70's hits plus the DOUBLE FANTASY album tracks. That's enough like that. I really like John's work in the seventies but this CD captures the most important songs: IMAGINE, INSTANT KARMA, GIVE PEACE A CHANCE, COLD TURKEY and even the rare track MOVE OVER MRS L. about his breakup with Yoko in the mid-70's.
So save your money, buy this one, enjoy the music and if you love it then you know you can purchase the original albums.
Remember this is the album that was released to commemorate the second anniversary of John's death in 1982. That was John's first true greatest hits package and it went triple platinum in the US alone since then.

3 out of 5 stars A Slight Innacuracy.......2007-06-13

The version of "Nadia's Theme" (Theme from The Young and the Restless) isn't actually the one you're expecting. I believe it's actually the original arrangement made for "Bless the Beasts and the Children". So what later became the Young and the Restless theme (the one that was a hit) still remains unreleased on CD.

Hopefully, we can see that version on a future release. Maybe they could get "Little Ballerina Blue" on one while they're at it.

Still, some great stuff here.

Well, ERIC records has done it again.

Continuing their unique practice of giving us both well known hits and impossible to find rarities, Eric presents Volume 2 of "Hard to Find Orchestral Instrumentals". This one is, in my opinion, even better than the first.

First off, the sound quality of this disk is ASTOUNDING. ERIC has gotten the various reissue departments to provide them with absolute first generation mono and stereo masters and this CD proves it. The aural quality is breathtaking. The fact that Orchestral music is so beautifully suited for true stereo playback is exhibited here, as a whopping 15 of the 20 tracks are True Stereo and sound magnificent.

There are, of course, the big soundtrack hits here, like 'The Day The Rains Came" "Rocky", "Ben Casey", "Theme from The Apartment", and " Nadias Theme". All top 30 and well remembered. However, for this 43 year old fan, it was the some of the lessor known tracks, in particulatr the 1963 Colpix low level charter "Theme From The Long Ships" that really makes this collection the gem that it is. Outstanding tracks include "Theme From The Sundowners" , "The Dark At The Top of The Stairs" and "I Will Follow Him" , all tracks that will suddenly sound familiar again after first listen.

Therein lies the BEST part of this collection. When you put this on your player, you will be treated to a nostalgic feast,
a time when the magic of Orchestral music still ruled the charts, and existed in all our homes. And you'll certainly remember most of these once you hear them, which is the fun part!!

There arent enough great things I can say about this collection AND its sister CD "Hard To Find pop Instrumentals- Part 2" I personally liked this volume better, but if you dont have either yet, give yourself a musical treat, and some REAL listening enjoyment and pick these up...

    Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Forerunner to Sky.......2006-02-23

This CD is really a compilation of the 3 "experimental" albums John Williams did before his venture with the Prog Rock group Sky. So if you are a classical purist then you might not like this CD. Otherwise, it's a rare combination of songs from "Changes", "The Height Below", and "Travelling" - the 3 albums that eventually led to Sky. Also, a few songs from his work with Cleo Laine are thrown in.

The overall style of this CD is like a soundtrack (such as the music from "The Deer Hunter"). But it still features great guitar work as well (several from Bach). Williams' playing is clean and crisp - whether he is playing a straight classical piece or doing an accompanyment. You will see he is accomplished in both roles with this CD. Classical purists might consider this "light weight" but the rest of us call it accessable and interesting.

A lovely voice and some dynamite selections, but there are some songs that do not fit-out of place with the rest and should not have been included. The discs are mis-labeled and one of them was defective. But the SINGER disc alone is worth the price.

      Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars John interviews, from 1964-1979.......2003-01-15

This is random interviews from all different years, from 1964 till maybe 1979, and maybe some from 1980. The music sounds like stuff they did with Tony Sheridan from 1961.

The others talk on here a bit, Paul George and Ringo. But of course, its John Lennon for the most part. John likes to talk about how he's against war, and things happening in the world. Then, he talks of course about music. He tries to get through to his fans, showing how he thinks. Yoko is on here as well, but not much.

What John talked about in 1964-67, was different from what he talked about in 1968 and later. He didnt hide what he thought in later years, But, disc one, is mainly 1964,1965, then it jumps up to the mid-late 70s.

Disc two is the famous bed in stuff, from 1969, which was around March, maybe a little later. He talks about all sorts of things during the bed in. Mainly talks about peace movements, about the Beatles of course, but he talks about lots of things during the bed in.

Why do you want to buy this? if you dont feel like reading his interviews, or you read them already and now you want to hear them, Or, if your doing a Beatles tape, or whatever reason, research maybe. This is a good interview box set. Its worth it. Its very good.I wouldnt say its great though, well worth 4 stars.

The best disc is, disc 2. Theres over 50 minutes of interviws on disc 2. And you'll learn a lot about John from this. Listen to The Beatles or his solo music or both, then listen to this.Get yours now.

      5 out of 5 stars John Speaks!!!.......2001-03-28

This is a collection of John Lennon interviews.

Personally, I enjoy listening to John discuss his views on world affairs, peace, music and entertainment, politics, culture, etc. After all, how can anyone ever get tired of listening to John Lennon? For those of us who enjoy listening to the legendary John Ono Lennon, then this is the CD for you.

When John Speaks, People Listen (Sorry EF Hutton).

5 out of 5 stars this is not a music collection.......2001-03-26

this is a 2 disc collection of interviews...don't buy it expecting music...i think it may have a few random old rock&roll songs on it..but it is a interview collection...i don't know how good of an interview collection it is, but i gave it 5 stars because if its lennon its probably good in its context.. i just wanted to tell everyone what this product is since they give no track listing...

5 out of 5 stars where the track list ?.......2001-03-12

How can i buy this cd if there no track list?

5 out of 5 stars I'd Like to buy it.......2001-02-13

Yes I'd like to buy it, I was waiting for it at last three weeks, Reciently, ordened The best of McCartney,Ringo Star and "All things muts pass" of Harrinson, now today want to buy a good Cd of Lennon, but there is not much information about the songs, versions, or the dates that ussualy we can find in the pages of each product. May you ask Why I gave 5 Stars . Well, if it is Lennon's music, It have to be 5 Stars. Please ¿Can we have more information about this Cd.? I'm want to buy The Best of Lennon, in your opinion, which is better, this or "Lennon Leyend"? I will apreciate your help to buy the best. Thanks in advanced Raul rodriguez
