THE FUTURE OF ROCK N ROLL.......2004-03-01
These guys are the best live band I've ever seen. They are so much more real than all this Good Charlotte - Simple Plan Shlock! They are a RAWK band above all - loud and crazy live. Great CD from a band who can and will Kick You In the Teeth! I recommend this to all who dare... HD Rules!
Great Songs from a great live band.......2004-01-02
No filler. Just one great song after another. I love this album - Specifically - "Running", "Devil in You", "What You See", and "Hello Somebody" are extremely catchy songs that rock.

"What Is A Marine?".......2004-05-17
I am looking for a song by Ernie Maresca titled "What Is A Marine?" It came out around 1968-ish. Can anyone help an old Marine find his favorite song?

ERNIE HIT THE TOP TEN WITH THE ROCKER "SHOUT! SHOUT! (KNOCK YOURSELF OUT)" BACK IN 1962. A GREAT SONG WRITER HE HIT THE TOP TEN MANY TIMES, BUT WITH OTHER ARTISTS. THIS, HIS ONLY ORIGINAL ALBUM (WITH 2 BONUS TRACKS) CLEARLY SHOWS THAT WITH HIS VOCAL TALENT, HE SHOULD HAVE HAD MANY MORE HITS, WITH SONGS LIKE: "THEY DON'T KNOW", "CRYING LIKE A BABY OVER YOU" & "WHAT GOOD IS LIVING", MAKES THIS CD WORTH OWNING.

A NON-ESSENTIAL CURIOSITY.......2006-03-08
Recorded in late 1965, this release shows Curtis Knight & The Squires to be your basic sixties R&B bar band. Oh yes, and they just happen to have Jimi Hendrix on guitar. (Though certainly not sounding like the Jimi the world would come to know and love a year or so later.) Not at all a terrible album, but in reality nothing all that special either. For historians and / or completists only. (PS: Terrific cover photo.)
