Very dissapointed, Not really Pachelbel.......2007-03-17

I love Pachelbel. I was looking for a CD with it done in various ways- piano, violin, vocal, etc. Different tempos, chords, etc. I thought this was it. No. This is like playing two audio tracks at the same time with some other kind of tune played on top of a Pachelbel track, usually at a tempo so slow that I can barely make it out. I suppose if I was burned out from stress I might listen to half a track. Overall confusing, irritating, and boring to me. Maybe I am not sophisticated enough. Great for elevators in medical buildings. I want my money back! This not Pachelbel so much as it is something else primarily with Pachelbel in the background.

My tastes are rather eclectic, but this CD is just the ticket for an evening by the fire with a glass of wine and a good book. All the cuts have their own qualities, but I believe Nocturne to be the absolute best. I listen to it and envision being in a place like Brigadoon, don't ask why.

I am perhaps THE ultimate admirer of this mans works and I am here to say, if it is Pachelbel (Johann only), it is a magnificient work make no mistake I would give it fifty stars if I could, so I will. To you, my Baroque Babe, I give you the highest praise possible.

This is a great CD. I recommend it to anyone that enjoys any material from Pachelbel. It is very melodic and soothing.

There is something that touches my soul when I hear this piece of music. I simply cannot get enough of it. This new age blend of Pachelbel's canon is a thing of beauty.
