Gigli Edition, Vol. 2: The Milan, Camden and New York Recordings 1919-22
Editorial Reviews
Album Description
The present volume is the second in a series devoted to Beniamino Giglis song and aria recordings not issued as part of complete opera sets. The aim of the series is to include every Gigli recording released at the time, as well as every published alternate take and, wherever available, unpublished takes. For this Naxos series, restoration engineer Mark Obert-Thorn has remastered his original, critically acclaimed Romophone transfers, cleaning them up further and re-doing some tracks in their entirety.
