Audiophile Audition, April 1999
His delicate expression in the Lully Suite comes off as an exquisite Partita in French taste. Highly recommended.
Los Angeles Times, May 3, 1999
Still at the top of his game, Cherkassky was 71 when he played this provocative program.

A Memorable Concert.......2002-04-25
This recital is quintessential Cherkassy. Perhaps a highlight is the Grand Sonata by Tchaikovsky, a piece not often performed and played to perfection here by Mr. Cherkassy. The variety of this concert is perfect. We being with Lully and continue down the centuries exploring Mendelssohn, Chopin and a marvelous work by Hofmann. This was a great concert that is well-recorded. There is audience applause but there are only slight coughing that does not disturb the performance. A must buy.
