      I'm a HUGE Mantovani fan and have had mixed results trying to upgrade my collection to CDs. This collection is the original orchestra arrangements of all the classics. This is the one to buy.

      The Mantovanti Orchestra shows off their "marvelous versatility" in this "wonderful" collection of "8 CDs", with titles that tell you "just what to expect", such as: "The Love Songs", "Memorable Classics", "Itallian Favorites", "On Broadway", etc. You can set the MOOD for practically ANY occassion! There are even some "popular" selections that we all know and treasure like: "Moon River", "Over the Rainbow" and "Autum Leaves"!
      You will NOT want to remove these GREAT CDs from your CD Player, once you have listened to them! They make "nice" background music for small get-togethers or "lovely" background music for those "ROMANTIC DINNERS", for you and your "SPECIAL SOMEONE"!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SET!!! It is a GREAT DEAL for the money, even at the full price!!!

      Every once in awhile I run across an album that excells, not because of the shining brilliance of one artist, but because of the collective impact of several. Here, in this album, are some little-known gems from Christmas music literature. I was captivated by the lilting and primitive joy in "Jesus, the Light of the World," which I had never heard before. Then there is Chanticleer and its rendition of Charles Ives' "Christmas Carol," a classic too little known. There are others.       The minute I heard Thomas Hampson sing the first few notes of Adeste Fideles, I knew I had to have this album. It is a marvelous compilation of Classical Christmas favorites (excerpts from the Bach, Vivaldi and Corelli Christmas Concertos and The Nutcracker) and standard Christmas favorites, as well as some of the lesser heard Christmas gems.

      The vocal power on this 2 CD set is amazing as well--Broadway star Linda Eder, Thomas Hampson, Kiri Te Kanawa, Jose Carreras, Chanticleer, and numerous others. I usually purchase one Christmas CD a year. This was it for me this year--make it part of your holiday collection.

      I am listening to this CD right now and I love it, I have always been a fan of classical music and to hear it played on guitar and cello just sends chills down my spine. We have known Paul Moeller for 20 years and to see how successful he has become makes me proud to know him.

      I saw Paul Moeller in a 2002 performance sponsored by the Baltimore Classical Guitar Society. As a professional guitarist myself, and an avid fan of the instrument, I was deeply impressed by Moeller's tonal sensitivity and technical virtuosity. This is coming from someone who's seen dozens of world-reknowned classical guitarists in concert and collects classical guitar CDs. I bought Moeller's CD after the show and I continue to listen to it today. Moeller's recording of Tarrega's "Capricho Arabe" alone is worth the...price of the CD. I understand that Moeller studied under Manuel Barrueco at Peabody. And I would not be surprised if one day his name is as well recognized as his teacher's.

      This CD is fantastic. Great music, out of this world performance. The scope of the CD has something for everyone, and it allows Paul Moeller to show off all the best parts of the classical guitar and his own talent (of which there are few weaknesses if any). He was trained by the best, and he will only get better from here!
      I look forward to his next CD with anticipation.

      The CD was a true disappointment. The songs/carols are almost unrecognizable. I wish I had never ordered it. My expectations were so much higher. It didn't meet my tatse at all even though I don'yt go for the regular Holiday ho-ho-ho music either. But stay away from this CD, after 10 minutes you are sick of it.

      This fabulous cd is now the standard mood-setter in my house at Christmas time. It's not your typical Rudolf or Little Drummer Boy fare, but a collection of carols you'll KNOW you've heard before even though you don't know the names, and everything, even the unfamiliar, eminate a serene, peaceful holiday feeling. Quink's voices are pristine and soaring, the arrangements are beautiful, and the melodies (especially "What Sweeter Music") haunt me all year long. Put it in your changer and hit "REPEAT".
