Take a brilliant composer who understands and uses applied knowledge of sound, and a wonderful choir and magic occurs.
I thought the CD would have a steady feeling to it, with the
blend of the awesome girls choir possiblity taking away some variety....I was wrong. The pieces were performed incredibly well, showing emotions from typical girl choir tenderness, to
humor, frenzy, and profound hauntingly gorgeous qualitiies.
It's obvious this choir had a ball and learned quite a bit working with the composer directly. It's late and I can't sleep, so I'll not ramble nor list each piece and it's qualities...fans of Great music don't need that kind of justification for this type of work. They can think for themselves....so can anyone reading this.
Just sit back listen and enjoy the ride.

When I first heard this CD, I did not think that the music was being sung by teenage girls, but rather angels. This CD is full of beautiful music that any person will love. I strongly recommend that every person should order a copy for themselves, and maybe one for your friends!

This recording should brings out the most intimate emotions from anyone who listens. "Requiem For A Pioneer Woman" releases the waterworks for those who have had beloved women that have passed on. A must to share with those who you love.

Great job SGC! This is a wonderful CD full of great music. Look out for another Berkey CD coming out within a few months!

This album is incredible. If you are a fan of choral music, this album is not to be missed. The voices of the choristers blend together well. They sound almost like angels. My favorite pieces were the Prairie pieces. It was disappointing to me this album did not win the 2 Grammies it was up for. I would definitely like to see more from this choir.
