Pearls of Music - Beethoven, Scarlatti, et al / Borowski

Editorial Reviews
CHEN News, July 2000
Emmanuel's radiant tone and assertive playing is reminiscent of all time greats such as Itzak Perlman and Isaac Stern.

Osaka Times, Japan
"Her playing penetrates one's mind and soul."

Album Description
Winner of the 1999 Golden CD Award of the International Friends of Music Association, "Pearls of Music" is an outstanding recording made by the American Wunderkinder, 11-year-old Emmanuel Borowsky and his 15-year-old sister, Elizabeth Borowsky.

Many respected music critics consider the works presented on this CD as precious pearls of violin and piano music. Indeed, the young artists' recording is genuine, creative, virtuosic, and inspiring. When listening to their performance, one has the impression of being at a great concert by the splendid Arthur Rubinstein and the perennial Isaac Stern... However, one has to remember that in reality we are listening to the young and upcoming musicians Emmanuel and Elizabeth Borowsky.

4 out of 5 stars Review of Borowsky CD.......2007-01-05

The performances on this CD are quite good, and I'm grateful
for such a recording that includes pieces my students are learning.
Such recordings aren't easy to find! Thanks so much to the excellent
Borowsky musicians.
One observation that my students and I made was a wish for a
different sort of photo of the two musicians for the cover. . .more creative and intriguing.
Best wishes to all and many thanks.

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful Music!.......2001-04-19

The "Pearls of Music" presents most wonderful music... One can only wonder that such young artists can produce such great expressive and passionate playing. Their music is astonishing. We need more such recordings!

5 out of 5 stars Beautiful Music.......2000-05-17

This is a mature recording by very young musicians. Included on this CD is both "popular" and "unknown" music. All beautiful- and well played.

According to searches, (on Amazon, Shar, etc.) this is the first recording of Borowski's "Adoration" and Severn's "Polish Dance." Not only are theses pieces finally recorded, but they are played with the interpretation, feelings, and elegance of the highest standard.

I met both Emmanuel and Elizabeth after a recent concert. They are genuine people- and that comes through in their music.

For the curious; I found out that there is no relation between Felix Borowski and the Borowsky duo, but from the way the musicians connect with the music, one would think there is.
