"What Happened on the Hill," relates the story of the Virgin Mary's appearances to six children in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the response of the community, and ultimately, the world. The work was premiered in Los Angeles on the UCLA campus in June 1999. Donald Neuen conducted the combined 200-voice UCLA and Angeles Chorales, the UCLA Philharmonia, with soloists Juliana Gondek, Gary Bachlund, Peter Atherton, and Michael Piontek.

I have enjoyed listening to "What Happened on the Hill" many times. It is an artfully programmatic composition that glows with beautiful sounds and great voices. I highly recommend this fine CD!
