Excellent two piano recording. The Turgeon's play well together. I bought the recording for the Octavio Pinto, Scenas Infantis, because I played it in college and never heard it performed. This recording introduced me to other two piano pieces. The composers on this recording were classically trained, so you can hear their European approach. Good information about the composers. Four of the Mignone pieces according to the insert, were sent to the performers, by his widow and former duo partner. Only the Lundu is published. Each piece is different and you can hear the differences. I'm not disappointed with this recording.

With controversial lyrics, head bobbin' beats, and various guest artists this album American Famine has so many different flavors. From jazzy horns to classic piano to synth and strings, this album creates a new feel to hip hop. Profit's vocals are fierce, his lyrics are brutally honest, he speaks about how difficult the world can be. Shows so much talent and ambition. The album means a lot to me!

American Famine is a phenomenal debut album. In it, Profit creates a lush multi-layered musical soundscape with the live band. The innovative and creative beats wrap around lyrics that can only be described as poignant, real, hard-hitting, on point and most desparately needed in these dark and last days. This album helps breathe new life back into hip hop.
