This CD is the latest installment of The Graupner Project - launched by Geneviève Soly in 2001 aimed at rediscovering and promoting the music of Christoph Graupner, of whom she is currently one of the most eminent specialists. Ingrid Schmithüsen is a devoted performer of lied, oratorio and chamber music ranging from the Renaissance to works by living composers. Hélène Plouffe has a passion for early music and performs it in all possible guises: as soloist, chamber player, in string quartet and in orchestra.
