Album Description
This is a collection of Airs,, Madrigals and Laments of the XVI-XVII century. Apart from the two magnificent Madrigals by Luzzaschi for the famous Cantors from Ferrara in the second half of the sixteenth century , are present the two splendid Airs by Barbara Strozzi in the contralto texture "Dimmi" and for soprano "Soccorrete". Particularly exceptional the performance by Anfuso in the two laments by Mazzocchi and for the first time in the modern era it is possible to listen to the "enharmonic portamento" of the Greek musical system recuperated in the Italian Renaissance period.
