Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Indescribably Good.......2003-10-30

I've been listening to this one in my car for a year now, and I still like it as much as I did the first time I listened to it. Just listen to the clips to see how good it is! Scenes four and six drag a little bit, but the rest of the work more than makes up for that.

Hauer's opera has a very unique sound. Part of this was due to his special twelve-tone system, but I think his eccentric and colorful orchestration contributes even more to that uniqueness.

It's too bad there are only a handful of recordings out there of his music.
